Down, Ireland - May 18, 1853 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Down Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Ros Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com COUNTY DOWN WILL - MCKEE, DAVID MAY 18, 1853 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: May 18, 1853 Recorded: April 4, 2019 This is the last Will and Testament of me David McKee of No 2 Dowgate Hill London (at present sojourning in Ballymacarrett in the County of Down Ireland) Commission Agent I give devise and bequeath unto my Cousin James Davidson of Ballymacarrett aforesaid Merchant and Miller all the Property of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever situate which I shall be seized possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease for his own absolute use and benefit but subject to the payment of the several legacies hereinafter mentioned viz. To my brother James McKee of Greyabbey in the County of Down aforesaid Farmer I give and bequeath the sum of ten pounds per annum during his natural life payable to himself half yearly on every first day of May and first day of November in each year the first payment thereof to be made of first of said gale days which shall happen next after my decease and it is my will that said annuity shall wholly cease or determine in case my said brother shall attempt to sell or dispose of the same or take the benefit of any act for the relief of Insolvent Debtors in Ireland to my Cousin Mary Martin formerly Davidson wife of Robert Martin of Killileagh in the said County of Down I give the sum of Twenty five pounds for her sole and separate use her own receipt alone to be a sufficient discharge for the same to my Cousin John Davidson of Ballynahinch in the said County of Down I give the sum of Twenty five pounds to my Cousin Ellen Patterson formerly Davidson wife of John Patterson of Grove Hill near Dromore County Down I give the sum of Fifty pounds for her sole and separate use her own receipt alone to be a sufficient discharge for the same and I appoint the said James Davidson sole Executor of this my last will and testament and I direct that he shall not in any event be responsible save for the money or property which shall come to his hands or for his own wilful default and lastly I hereby revoke all other wills by me at any time heretofore executed In Witness whereof I the said David McKee have hereunto subscribed my name this eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three David McKee (Attestation Clause) Robert Hamilton Sr _ John Dowling Proved at London 3 November 1853 PCC Prob11/2181
