Outside of church, south wall' :- "Here lieth the body of the Reverend John COPPING, late Dean of Clogher. He was born in Norwich, in the County of Norfolk and departed this life in the City of Dublin the 6th day of April 1743 aged 52 years" 'L. Outside the church, south wall' :- "Sacred to the memory of James STOPFORD, Bishop of Cloyne, who departed this life the 24th August, 1759 aged 63; and to the memory of his relict, Mrs. Anne STOPFORD who departed this life May 5th, 1784 aged 84" 'LI. Outside of Church, south wall' :- "Sacred to the memory of Mrs. Anne WELD HARTSTONGE, wife of Edmond WELD HARTSTONGE who with unequall'd constancy and fond affection fulfilled the relations of daughter, wife mother and friend. Obiit Die 14 Jani. A.D. 1803, [1808] et Anno Aetatis 60. 'Farewell my Children' Such her voice in death. And while she bless'd them, closed her latest breath! Adieu, bless'd spirit, oh a long farewell! On thy lov'd memory ever will we dwell: Our inmost thoughts reflect on worth like thine, While tears sincere bedew a parent's shrine." 'LII. Outside of Church, south wall' :- "Within the same tomb below rest the honoured remains of Edmond WELD, Esq, late Edmond WELD HARTSTONGE, husband to Anne WELD HARTSTONGE, recorded in the adjoining tablet. No man was more respected in life or deplored than he was in death. Pious in all his ways, and honest in all his deeds, he closed a long and honorable life on the third day of September 1817 in his 76th year, lamented and beloved" 'LIII. Outside of Church, south wall' :- "Within this vault are deposited the remains of the Rev. Michael KEARNEY, D.D. for many years Fellow of Trinity College, Dublin who departed this life the 11th of January, 1814 aged 80. Also those of Frances his widow who died 25th Match 1820, aged 80" 'LIV. Outside of Church, south wall' :- "Erected to the memory of Mrs. Charity BLAKE otherwise ANNESLEY, late of Lehinch in the county of Mayo, whose body is deposited in the vault underneath. She died on the 13th of March, 1774" 'LV. Outside of Church, south wall' :- "In the vault beneath this stone lie the remains of Lieut. John AMPHLETT, late of the Rifle Brigade (who died on the 10th day of Augst. 1816 in the 23rsd years of his age) son of Rev. Dr. AMPHLETT of Doddershill, in County of Worcester in England. This stone has been placed by his brother officers as a memorial of their regard." 'LVI. Outside vestry, north wall' :- "This stone was erected to the memory of Mr. Samuel MORGAN, late Officer of Commons to the Right Honorable the City of Dublin, who departed this life the 23rd day of, Anno Domini 1776" ''LVII. Graveyard, north-west corner' :- "This stone was erected by Isabella MARSHALL in memory of her beloved husband John MARSHALL, Esqr., who departed this life on the 22nd January, 1825 aged 39 years. Here also lies the abovenamed Isabella MARSHALL, otherwise MEDLICOTT who died 18th Decr. 1829 aged 44 years. Also Margaret, daughter of Robt. DAY, Esqr. Barrister at Law and Christina his wife and niece to the abovenamed John MARSHALL. She died 26th July, 1836, aged 25." ''LVIII. Same place' :- "Here lieth the remains of Madame Helene De BROUS, daughter of the late Mathew LYSTER of New Park, Co, Roscommon, Esq. dead in the prime of her age after an un-happy lying-in the 6th of Sepr. 1822, her infant lies here also by her side. She left her true friends who will come some times to weep over her grave." 'LIX. Same place' :- "To the memory of Henry HATTON, Esqr., of Newbay, Co. Wexford aged 24 years who died in this city September 27th 1823" 'LX. Same place' :- "Here lies the remains of Mrs. Elizabeth PLATT, who departed this life June the 6th 1820 in the 64th year of her age" ''LXI. Same place - Broken red sandstone, top mutilated' :- ...... " Anne HUGHES of [Park ?] St. East in this city who departed this life on ye 8th day of July, 1798, in the 58th year of her age. Also the remains of Mrs. Margaret ROBERTSON sister of said Mrs. HUGHES' [Broken in two pieces here] [p 447] 'LXII. Same place- Broken in two - within a railed enclose with following inscription':- "Here is buried Mrs. Alice LLOYD, wife of John LLOYD, of Merrion Square, Esq. She died on the 17th of April, 1815 retaining to the last moment that spirit of mildness, Benevolence and patient resignation which marked her character thro' life. Here also is buried her Aunt, Mrs. Margaret ELLORD, who died in April 1812. Redeem their kindred souls, O Lord from the power of the grave and lift them up for ever and ever. Also Mrs. Ann ELLORD who died the 9th of Febry, 1816, aged 83. Also Mrs. Alice ROE, mother of Mrs. Alice LLOYD and widow of Thomas ROE late of Roesboro in the County of Tipperary, Esqre., who died on the 5th day of October, 1817 in the 80th year of her age. Also the abovenamed John LLOYD, Esq, Judge of the Court for the relief of Insolvent Debters (sic) who died on the 16th May, 1835 aged 76 years" 'LXIII. Same place and within the same enclosure. The bottom broken in three' :- "Sacred to the memory of William HARTIGAN, M.D. Professor of Anatomy, T.C.D. who died on the 13th day of December 1812 in the 57th year of his age." 'LXIV. Same place' :- "here lieth the body of John ARMSTRONG, late of Scarvey, County of Monaghan who departed this life 5th July 1812 in the 44th year of his age deeply and deservedly regretted by all who knew him. This tomb is dedicated to his memory by his sorrowful widow, Anne ARMSTRONG. Beneath this stone are also laid the remains of her father and mother, Philip and Sarah CRAVEN whose lives were adorned by many Christian virtues. That they may meet again in a happier world is the pious hope of an affectionate wife and daughter." 'LXV. Same place' :- "Bladen SWINEY, Esqr. died the 10th of Decr. 1833 aged 75 years" 'LXVI. Same place' :- "Sacred to the memory of Robert Ross HARTIGAN, who departed this life on the 19th day of May, in the 7th year of his age." 'LXVIII. Same place' :- "This ground belongeth to James SAUNDERS of No 12 south Fredrick (sic) Street. Here lieth the remains of his eldest son, Robert who departed this life the 29th day of January, 1817 aged 28 years. Here lieth the remains of the above James SAUNDERS who departed this life the 29th day of August 1832 aged 76 years. Here lie the remains of Mrs. Sarah JACKSON of No 12 Sth. Fredk. St., who died the 17th Janry., 1833 aged 66 years. Also the remains of John JACKSON, husband of the above. Also that of Elias George JACKSON, sixth child and third son of the abovenamed John and Sarah. Born Jany, 1822. Died Novr. 1854, aged 33 years." 'LXIX. Same place' :- "Here lieth the remains of Thomas HARPER, son of Mr. Ephraim HARPER of Dawson St. who departed this life the 3rd of November 1815, aged two years. Here also are interred the remains of James, his infant son. Also the mortal remains of the abovenamed Mr. Ephraim HARPER who departed this life the 1st of April, 1832, aged 49 years" 'LXX. Same place' :- "The Reverend Thomas LELAND, D.D. late Vicar of this parish, Died August 22nd, 1785" 'LXXI. Same place' :- "here lieth the body of Michael COX who died the 21st June 1775 aged six years. Here lieth the body of Lady [p 449] Elizabeth COX, relict of Revd. Sir Michael COX, Bart. of Dunmanway, Co. of Cork, who departed this life beloved and regretted on the 12th of March, 1825 aged 98 years. Also of Elizabeth C. ANNESLEY daughter of the Honble. F.C. ANNESLEY who died August 5th 1828 aged 12 years. Also the Honble. Francis Charles ANNESLEY who died August 6th, 1832 aged 56 years. Also Frances M. ANNESLEY she died Septr. 10th 1847, aged 14 years. Also Mary ANNESLEY wife of the Honble. F.C. ANNESLEY who died December 9th, 1864 aged 62 years" 'LXXII. Same place' :- " Here lieth the body of Letetia (sic) KNOX wife of William KNOX Esqr. of Soho Square, London. Also the body of the Revd. Thomas SMYTH D.D. who departed this life March 9th Anno Domini 1821 aged 77 years." 'LXXIII. Same place, on four pillars' :- "Here lie the remains of Lieut.- Colonel Robert TURTON, late of the Honble. East India Company's Service who departed this life Novr. 23rd, 1817 aged 52 years. Here also are deposited the remains of his father and mother, Francis and Elizabeth TURTON. Also his sister, Frances Anne wife of the Revd. George William COTTON who departed this life February 13th, 1820 aged 45 years. Here are deposited the remains of the Revd. G.W. COTTON, Curate of this parish, who departed this life 26th July, 1837 aged 64 years. Here also are deposited the remains of his son, Francis R. COTTON, Esqr. who departed this life on the 30th of August 1851 aged 57 years. 'LXXIV. Same place' :- "Sacred tot he memory of John FERRAR who died 3rd May 1804 aged 61. Also his three grand- children John FERRAR, aged 8, Edward MINCHIN and Mary MINCHIN, Infants" 'LXXV. Same place' :- "Here lie the bodies of the Revd. Samuel HALES, D.D. late Prebendary of Kilbritain, in the diocese of Cork, who departed this Nov. 12th, 1781 in the 72nd year of his age. The Revd. John FORSAYETH D.D. late Archbishop of Cork, formerly Senior Fellow of Trinity College Dublin, who died April 17, 1785 aged 49 years. Mrs. Helen HALES, widow of the Revd. Doctor HALES who died March the 3rd 1787 aged 61 years" 'LXXVI. Same place, on an elevated table' :- "Here lieth the body of Eliza BOWEN, otherwise MILLAR wife of Christr. BOWEN of Milford in the Co. of Mayo, Esq., who departed this life on the 23rd of January 1815.in the 45th year of her age" 'LXXVII. Same place, on an elevated structure and within railings':- "To the memory of Dominick BURKE of Dawson-street, Esqr. who departed this life on the 5th day of October, 1785 aged 57. He was eminently distinguished for his punctual and zealous performance of religious duties, for his tender affection to his wife and family, for his disinterested friendship and hospitality, for his bountiful encouragement of Manufactures and Industry. and for his most liberal and extensive charities to the poor in general and more especially to those of the Town of Galway and of this city who have lost in him their friend, their protector and their munificent benefactor. In this tomb are also deposited the remains of Mrs. Margaret BURKE, relict of the above Dominick BURKE, Esq. daughter and co-heiress of Edwd. FYFE [? FYTE] of Galway, Esqr. She departed this life after a most painful and lingering illness, which she endured with a Christian fortitude on the 14th of May 1787 aged 84. She was a tender and affectionate wife a humane and indulgent mistress remarkable for hospitality and the sincerity of her friendship, constant regular and devout in all the religious duties, highly distinguished for truly Christian humility, for a most compassionate and charitable temper, and for bounty to the poor almost beyond example. T. TAYLOR fecit" 'On a slab at the end of the table' :- "Here also lie the remains of Mrs. Rebecca COCHLAN who died Feby. 25th 1805. The Revd. William CREERY died 16th January 1808 aged 51 years. And Elizabeth his second wife, died 22nd May 1856 aged 82 years" 'LXXVIII. Same place':- "Sacred to the memory of William GARDE of Stephen's Green in the City of Dublin, Esquire who died the 2nd of November, 1836 aged 67 years, Also to the memory of Catherine Louisa GARDE, his youngest daughter who died the 5th of February following [1836] aged 18 years. 'LXXIX. Same place, elevated and in a railed enclosure':- "Sacred to the memory of Susan MACNAMARA wife of William Nugent MACNAMARA of Doolen in the County of Clare, Esqre. and the daughter of the late Mathias FINUCANE, one of his Majesty's Justices of the Court of Common Pleas. Died 14th February 1816, aged 39 years. And to her daughter Honoria, wife of Edmond John ARMSTRONG, Esq. of Willow Bank in the the County of Clare. She departed this life the 18th April 1838 aged 29 years" 'LXXX. On a stone inserted per se into new School House wall, in church-yard':- "Heu! quanto minus est Cum aliis versari Quam tui meminisso" 'LXXXI. Top step of approach from vestry to new school-house':- (See Journal for 1893, page 296, for this inscription) 'LXXXII. Bottom step of approach from vestry to new school-house':- "[Here] lieth the mortal remain[s of] ..................... wife of Wm. RYA[N]......... [Priv ?] Dragoon ........ " 'LXXXIII. North side of yard. This and two slabs are in a railed enclosure':- "To the memory of Louisa wife of John REA, Esq. of Chatham Lodge in the County of Derry, and daughter of the Revd. Stuart BLACKER of Carrick in the County of Armagh. She died on the 11th day of May 1815, aged 22 years" 'LXXXIV. Same Place':- "Here are deposited the mortal remains of Samuel M'ALPINE KYLE, son of William Cotter KYLE Esqre. and of Louisa Marianne (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. REA). He died April 28th, 1839. 'I shall go to him but he cannot return to me'- ii. Sam.xii.ch' Underneath are deposited the remains of Louisa Marianne KYLE wife of William Cotter KYLE of St. Columb's, Londonderry. She died Octr. 28th, 1850 aged 35. May we die the death of the righteous! May our last end be like hers!" 'LXXXV. Same Place':- "Sacred to the memory of Louisa Marianne KYLE, wife of William Cotter KYLE Esqr. daughter of John REA, St. Columb's Londonderry. She departed this life after a very protracted illness, Octr. 28, 1850 aged 35 years. 'My flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever' were her last words" 'LXXXVI. North side of graveyard ':- "Their angels do always behold the face of my Father I.H.S. Beneath this stone are deposited the bodies of Jemima ALLMAN who died April 1st, 1819 aged 18 months; of Anne Jessy who died Aug. 12th, 1821 aged 5 weeks; and of Thomas, who died Dec. 4th, 1823. aged 12 months: three children of William ALLMAN, M.D.. Also the body of their mother Anne Rebecca ALLMAN, otherwise EDWARDS who departed this life 24th April, 1831 aged 47 years. This monument also records the death of their dear child Augusta Mary Barbara ALLMAN who fell asleep 4th April 1845 aged 17 years. Underneath, likewise, is laid the body of William ALLMAN M.D. who died the 8th of December, 1846 aged 70 years." 'LXXXVII. Same Place':- "This stone was erected by John COLLIN, of Merrion Square. Here lieth the remains of Francis Robert COLLIN who departed this life the 6th day of November 1817 aged 11 months. Here lieth also the remains of Isabella COLLIN, who departed this life the 4th day of July 1819 aged 9 years" 'LXXXVIII. Same Place':- "Sacred to the memory of three friends, Mrs. Martha SKEFFINGTON, who departed this life the 8th of March 1788; Katherine SKEFFINGTON the 16th June 1796 and Sarah HUEY the 18th May 1797. Also the remains of Mrs. Anne CARTER, formerly of County Kent, who departed this life 5th of Decr. 1833 aged 78 years. Mrs. Jane THOMPSON daughter of the above Sarah HUEY who departed this life the 24thJanuary, 1839 aged 79 years. Jane McNEIL THOMPSON, who departed this life 13th March 1841 aged 54 years. Mrs. Sarah THORNTON ADAIR departed this life July 10th, 1852 in the 63rd year of her age" 'LXXXIX. Same Place':- "John BARCLAY ALLOWAY of this City, Merchant, died the 6th of December, 1830 in his 76th year. Catherine wife of the above J.B. ALLOWAY died the 24th of Oct. 1839 in her 72nd year. Elizabeth EVANS, sister of the above mention Catherine died the 21st of June, 1837 in her 65th year." 'XC. Same Place':- "Sacred to the memory of Katheren HAUTENVILLE who departed this life the 20th of February 1798 aged 8 years. Also the remains of Rawdon HAUTENVILLE, who died the 9th day of December 1815, aged 73 years. Also his wife, Abigail HAUTENVILLE who departed this life the 18th day of November 1820 aged 73 years" 'XCI. North-east corner of graveyard, on four pillars':- "Sacred to the memory of William GODARD, Esq. of Holyhead, who departed this life in December 1799 aged 53 years and whose remains are interred beneath. Also the remains of Anne, wife of Norris M. GODARD son of the above named William who died on 22nd June 1837 in the 60th year of her age." XCII. Same Place':- + I.H.S. "Here lies the remains of Anthony Joseph HOGUET, who departed this life the 21 Sept. 1811 aged 67 years. This stone was erected by his son Joseph HOGUET and Anne THEVARD FLUERY [sic] his sister-in-law. Also Anne Genevieve PONTET, died March 26th 1812, aged 64 years. Also Julia Hoguet died Nov. 22nd, 1816 aged 7 years: and Louisa HOGUET died June 5th 1823 aged 15 years." 'XCIII. Same Place':- "here lieth the body of Mr. Henry COOKE, late of this city who departed this life Sept. 9th, 1809 aged 76. And also the body of Mrs. Jane COOKE his widow who died 19th April 1812 aged 75. And also the body of Mrs. Mary FARLEY, widow who died 21st March 1815, aged 88" 'XCIV. East end of graveyard':- "Here lieth the body of Thos. ARMSTRONG who died the 5th Janry. 1812, aged 52 years. Also Amelia, his daughter who died the 27th Sept. 1827 aged 18 years. 'Seed sown by God to ripen for the harvest" 'XCV. Same Place':- "Sacred to the memory of Mrs. Rachel RAWLINS who departed this life the 27th of March, 1832 aged 75 years" 'XCVI. Same Place':- "This stone and burial place belongeth to Mr. Edward GARRATT of Frederick-street who departed this life the 16th day of November 1788 aged 60 years. Here lieth the remains of Edward GARRETT [sic] FITZPATRICK, South Anne-street and nephew to the above, who departed this life Sept. 22nd, 1822 aged 41 years." 'XCVII. Same Place':- "Here lieth the remains of William MOORE of Grafton-street Esqre. who departed this life the 3rd November, 1828 in the 48th year of his age. And also three of his children; Charles WELLINGTON who died the 5th April 1814, aged 8 months; John who died the 12th of August 1815 aged 9 months; Jane who died the 9th February 1826 aged 16 years. This stone was erected by his affectionate wife, Anne MOORE to perpetuate his memory and that of their three children. 'Now, Lord, what is my hope; Truly my hope is even in thee'" 'XCVIII. Same Place':- "In memory of Thomas MONK eldest son of Wm. D. STANLEY& Eliza. Penelope MONK who departed this life Jan 24th 1819 in the 22nd year of his age. This stone is erected by his parents consoled in Christ Jesus. 'The Lord gave & the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Depart in peace, thou blessed of the Lord'" 'XCIX. Same Place, on table':- "To the memory of Charles Patrick MOORE of Roebuck, Esqre., born on the 26th May 1776. Died the 5th of Septr. 1818 aged 42 years. This monument was erected by his affectionate widow, Mrs. Mary MOORE. Here also is interred the remains of Thomas MOORE, Esqre. of Nassau-street, who died the 2nd day of Decr. 1854 aged 66 years." 'C.
