James Sheridan (alias Jordan) and his wife Jane were put on 
trial Tuesday 24 March 1789 were put to the bar for charged 
with robbing the house of Mr Parke of Rosslene and 
feloniously taking from him a number of notes, some 
candlesticks and other articles. 

James was transported for 7 years and arrived in NSw in 1792 
on the Queen and later went to Norfolk Island. In 1813 with 
his children he sailed on the Minstrel to Van Diemen's Land 
where he settled at Norfolk Plains. A family reunion was 
held in the 1990s and over 400 attended.
