Will: Kennan, Thomas February 24, 1768 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Dublin Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com June 7, 2019, 1:20 pm KENNAN, THOMAS FEBRUARY 24, 1768 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: February 24, 1768 Recorded: June 7, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Kennan formerly Captain in his Majesty's Thirty fourth Regiment of foot and now of the City of Dublin Esquire being of Sound and Disposing Mind and Memory Do hereby make Publish and Declare my last Will and Testament in manner and form following I Give Devise and bequeath all my Estates Real and Personal and all my Right Title and Interest in and to my two houses in Great Longford Street in the said City and also all Sum and Sums of Money which I now have or hereafter may have in Government Securities or otherwise and also all other Securitys for money Goods Chattells and Effects of any Nature or Kind whatsoever which I shall be Seized of or Intitled unto at the time of my Death with all Deeds Writings and Evidences whatsoever unto my much Esteemed friend John Lyster of Portarlington in the Queens County Esquire his Heirs Executors Admors and Assigns to have and to hold to the said John Lyster his Heirs Executors Admors and Assigns for ever Subject nevertheless after Payment of all my Just Debts to the following uses and bequests First I desire that my Godson Thomas Lyster son of the said John Lyster shall be Maintained and Educated out of the issues and Profits of my said Houses in Great Longford Street until he attains his Age of Twenty one years my Will is that the said John Lyster his Executors or Administrators Do Pay unto the said Thomas Lyster the Sum of One thousand pounds Sterling to and for his own use and benefit I Give and bequeath unto Mrs Jane Kennan Wife of Mr Robert Kennan of Peamont the Sum of fifty Pounds and unto said Robert Kennan my Gun Watch and Seals I Give and bequeath unto my friends Mark Anthony Hearn and William Lyster both of the City of Dublin Esquires the Sum of fifty Pounds each And I do hereby Constitute and Appoint the said Mark Anthony Hearn and William Lyster Executors of this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seal the Twenty fourth day of February In the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Sixty Eight Thos Kennan (Attestation Clause) Willm Burrell _ Hen: Cary _ Edwd Geoghehan Proved at London 15 July 1769 to William Lyster the sirvivng Executor PCC Prob11/950
