W B Steele, Rector of the Parish] HERE LIETH THE BODY OF THOMAS SOMERVELL, GENTLEMAN, WHO DECEASED THE SIXTH DAY OF APRIL ANNO DOM 16 – 'This inscription runs around the edge of the slab, the centre being occupied by a coat- f-arms-the Somervell impaling that of another family. 'In the dexter half of the shield appear-"Three mullets between seven crosses crosslet firchee," for Somervell. 'In sinister half –"A lion rampant." 'Thomas Somerville of Drumadown, who died in 1669 (son of James Somerville of Tullykelter Castle), was the ancestor of Lord Athlumney.' HERE LIETH THE BODY OF JAMES HAMILTON WHO DYED THE 26TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1688 ____________ HERE LIETH THE BODY OF RICHARD DEAN WHO DYED THE 17TH OF AUGUST 1702 _________________ This Stone was erected by David Wilkin in memory of his beloved daughter Anne Jane wife to John Wilkin of Carrickreagh, who departed this life January 28th 1849 aged 33 years. Here lieth the body of the above named David Wilkin who depd this life January the 9th 1853 aged 76 years. In whose death there is hope. Also Jane Wilkin the beloved wife of the above David Wilkin, who departed this Life the 25 of May 1859 aged 80 years. ____________ Erected by Gabriel Spence of Moyglass in memory of his son George Gabriel Spence who departed this life May the 29 1843 aged 6 years. Here lieth the Body of Gabriel Spence of Moyglass who died on the 11th December 1846 aged 49 years ___________________ Erected by Andrew Lucy in Memory of his son Anthoney Lucy who departed this life the 7th of June in the year of our Lord 1836 aged 21 years. ___________ In the year of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 1838 this Stone was dedicated by Mary and Margaret Fiddes through respect and affection to the Memory of their Parents Richard and Jane Fiddes late of Tully _____________ Erected by Margaret Macye in memory of her Mother Mary Mayce, who departed this life 3 Oct. 1843 aged 53 years. ____________ Erected by Archibald McKeney in memory of his daughter Mary who departed this life April 6th 1838 aged 26 years. ______________________ Erected by James Stinson in Memory of his daughter Jean Stinson who departed Sept 22nd 1828, aged….. Here lieth the Body of William Hicks who departed this life Feby 3rd 1831 aged 66 years. _________________ This Stone was erected by Matthew Davis of Marlbank in Memory of his Grandfather Matthew Davis of Shankhill, who departed this life August the 24 1832 aged 92 years; also in Memory of his Father Thomas Davis who departed this life June 26th 1833 aged 75 years. __________________ Erected by Gab. Elliott in Memory of his Wife Anne Elliott and her 8 young children. She was 53 years of Age and died August 26th 1828 _______________________ Erected by Matthew Thompson in Memory of his wife Anne Thompson who depd this Life Febry 26 1827 aged 58 years ____________________ Erected by P. Harman to the Memory of his brother James who depd this life March 14th 1826 aged 33 years _______________ Sacred to the Memory of Allan Cathcart who departed this life March 15 1828 aged 55 years. And four of his children was interred here. Also his Widow Elinor Cathcart who departed this life on the 19th of Jany 1840 aged 68 years. This Stone was erected by their son James Cathcart as a mark of Esteem for his beloved Parents. (A verse follows) ____________________ Sacred to the Memory of Isaac Wood, Esquire, of Russian* who departed this life January the 7th 1828 aged 72 years. Also to the memory of his son John Wood formerly of the Fermanagh Regiment who departed this life January the 7th 1821 aged 36 years. And likewise in Memory of Caroline Jones fourth daughter of Captain Charles Jones, who departed this Life March the 17th 1826 aged 5 years.
