BELLVIEW lies in the Electoral Division of Lawrencetown, Union of Ballinasloe, Parish of Kiltomer, Barony of Longford, and County of Galway. This Townland, which was formerly all in the hands of Mr Lawrence, comprises the Demesne of Bellview. It is situated on the South-West of Ballinasloe, at a distance of six miles from that Town. The Land in general on this Townland is very good; and the greater part of it is good pasture and meadow land. Mr Lawrence has set the greater part of the Demesne, which is beautifully planted. The timber is from 10 to 100 years old. The house is commodious and good. There is an ornamrntal piece of water in front of the House. The entire makes a very handsome valuable Demesne. Mr Lawrence has thourogh-drained a portion of the Demesne under the Land Improvement Act.
