In the Name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament 
of me Francis O'Flaherty of Roscrea in the County of Galway 
Esquire I do hereby revoke all former Wills and Codicils 
made by me I Francis O'Flaherty being of sound sense and 
disposing mind and memory do make this my last Will and 
Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give 
and devise unto Anthony O'Flaherty of Knockbane in the 
County of Galway Esquire Andrew Henry Lynch of Lincolns Inn 
in the County of Middlesex Esquire M.P. Barrister at Law 
their heirs and assigns all that and those my messuages 
lands hereditaments called Roscrea Cloondeerown and 
Shankenagh situate lying and being in the Barony of 
Balinahinch and County of Galway with their and every of 
their rights members and appurtenances to and for such uses 
trusts intents and purposes and with under and subject to 
such powers provisions and exceptions as are hereafter 
mentioned and declare of and concerning the same that is to 
say for the sole use and purposes of my Son Edmund 
O'Flaherty of Roscrea in the said County of Galway his heirs 
and assigns for ever and ever but if he should depart this 
life before he shall attain the age of eighteen years and 
without leaving issue him surviving then I give and devise 
the said messuages tenements and  hereditaments to the use 
of my Brothers Dillon O'Flaherty of Ballyhonnis in the 
County of Mayo and Edmund O'Flaherty of Ballyhonnis in the 
said County of Mayo forand during their respective lives in 
equal shares provided that they marry respectably and with 
the consent of the Bishop of Mayo and the Bishop of Galway 
being at the time of their marriage and after the respective 
death of one or either of my said brother without issue 
lawfully begotten one or both shares of my said brothers 
without such lawful male issue shall go and remain to the 
use of said Anthony O'Flaherty of Knockbane his heirs and 
assigns for ever absolutely for his own use and benefit And 
as to and concerning the Bond of two thousand three hundred 
pounds sterling due to me by John O'Hara Esquire of Raheen I 
will and bequeath the said two Bonds due to me by the 
aforesaid Andrew Henry Lynch and the Bond of five hundred 
pounds sterling due to me by John O'Hara Esquire of Raheen I 
will and bequeath that the said two Bonds due to me by the 
aforesaid Andrew Henry Lynch and John O'Hara Esquires to my 
said Son Edmund O'Flaherty I give and bequeath to Eleanor 
Power of the Presentation Convent in the Town of Galway the 
sum of twenty pounds for the purpose of assisting the sum 
that has been raised for giving Breakfast to the poor 
Children that attend the School of that Convent I give and 
bequeath to the Right Revd Doctor Brown Bishop of Galway the 
sum of twenty pounds in and of the funds established for the 
support of the Children who attend the School attached to 
the College House Market Street in the Town of Galway I give 
and bequeath twenty pounds to the Prior of the Dominican 
Convent in the Town of Galway I give and bequeath to the 
Reverend Peter Daly of  the Town of Galway or Villa Albans 
the sum of ten pounds for the benefit of the Magdalene 
Asylum in that Town I give and bequeath unto my much 
esteemed and dear friend Patrick Clayton the sum of twenty 
five pounds as a token of my remembrance of his affectionate 
regard for me I also bequeath unto Owen Martin Apothecary of 
the Town of Galway the sum of twenty five pounds as a token 
of his remembrance and kind attention to me besides the 
payment he is to receive for his attendance and Bill during 
my illness in Galway I also direct that my lawful debts 
shall be paid together with forty pounds which I owe Edmund 
O'Flaherty of Ballyhannit I direct the aforesaid legacies 
are not to be paid until there is a fund for them without 
interfering with my Estate or Bonds I give and bequeath to 
Mrs Owen Martin Shop Street my Vestments I give and bequeath 
unto my Son Edmund O'Flaherty's nurse the sum of ten pounds 
I give and bequeath unto my dear friend Anthony O'Flaherty 
of Knockbane my Plate and household furniture And as to and 
concerning all the Rest residue and remainder of my Goods 
monies chattels rights and credits and all other my Personal 
Estate not hereinbefore specifically bequeathed of which I 
will be possessed at the time of my decease or which I have 
power to dispose (Subject however to the aforesaid Legacies) 
I give and bequeath the same together with my landed estate 
and Bonds unto my said Son Edmund O'Flaherty to and for his 
absolute use and benefit payable on his attaining the age of 
eighteen years or day of marriage which shall first happen 
but in case he should depart this life without his having 
attained the age of eighteen years or without issue than and 
in such case I give and bequeath one thousand pounds 
sterling to Anthony O'Flaherty of Knockbhundred pounds 
sterling to Sabina Brown eldest daughter of James Brown of 
Back Street in the Town of Galway five hundred pounds 
sterling to each of my Brothers Dillon O'Flaherty of 
Ballyhannis and Edmund O'Flaherty of Ballyhannis in the 
County of Mayo Provided always and I hereby declare that in 
case at my decease my said Son Edmund O'Flaherty shall be 
under the age of eighteen years it shall and may be lawful 
for the said Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this 
my Will during the minority of my said Son Edmund O'Flaherty 
to enter(?) into possession of the said Real Estates or any 
part thereof and receive and take the rents and profits 
thereof respectively and lay out the same in applying any 
annual sum or sums of money according to the age of my said 
Son as they my said Trustees or Trustee for the time being 
may think proper not exceeding the sum of two hundred pounds 
for and towards the maintenance and education of my said Son 
per year And I direct that the said Trustees or Trustee of 
my said Son will appoint my said Son to whatever profession 
he may choose at the age of sixteen years as expeditiously 
as possible and that they the Trustees or Trustee will give 
him sufficient money out of his Estate and Bonds to procure 
and carry on that profession which he may prefer at the age 
of sixteen years And I nominate and appoint the aforesaid 
Anthony O'Flaherty and Andrew Henry Lynch Executors of this 
my Will In Witness whereof I the said Francis O'Flaherty 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st day of June in 
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty 
five Francis O'Flaherty
