W. J. Beggs, R.M.L.I, of 10 Swift Street, Belfast, wounded in action at the Dardanelles on May 7 and at present in the Naval Hospital, Malta. Photo No.3 Pte R. Patrick Joy, 3rd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, a member of a well-known Belfast family, killed in action on the 16th inst. He had resided latterly at Grove House, Stillorgan, Dublin. Moore, 2nd Batt Royal Iniskilling Fusiliers, of 38 Eureka Street, Belfast, wounded on May 15. He was awarded the D.C.M. for many acts of bravery in October last. Photo No.45 Pte Thos. J. Morrison, 10th Battalion Canadians, of 23 Donegall Avenue, Belfast, wounded. Photo No.46 Pte Geo. Mullin, 2nd Dublin Fusiliers, of Castle Street, Omagh, killed in action. Photo No.47 Pte G. A. Munce, Cameron Highlanders killed in action in France on April 23. Deceased was a son of the late Mr Alex Munce, butcher, Sandy Row, Belfast. Photo No.48 Pte WM M Murray, 2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers, of 14 Main Street, Whiteabbey, who has been wounded. Photo No.49 Rifleman T. O’Hara, 1st Batt Royal Irish Rifles, reported missing on May 9. Any information will be thankfully received by his mother at 390 Ligoniel Road, Belfast. Photo No.50 Pte D L O’Neill, 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, son of Mr John O’Neill, 29 New Lodge Road, Belfast, awarded the D.C.M. for gallantry at the Dardanelles. About three weeks later he unfortunately was killed in action. He was only 19 years of age. Photo No.51 Pte Henry O’Neill, 2nd Dublin Fusiliers, of Castle Street, Omagh, killed in action at Ypres, on May 10. Photo No.52 Lance-Cpl John Patterson of the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, who has served in India, Burmah, Aden, and Arabia. Coming home with the 1st Battalion from Aden, he went to the front and was invalided home with frost-bitten feet. On recovering he rejoined the 3rd Battalion at Dublin, and was drafted out in one of the reinforcements to the 2nd Battalion, arriving at the front on April 20. He was wounded in three places at Flanders on the 16th June and is now in the Royal Infirmary Leicester, where he is progressing satisfactorily. His wife resides at 34 Carson Street, Larne. Photo No.53 Pte Wm. Pursley, 1st East Lancasters, of 9 Upper Charleville Street, Belfast, killed in action on Mar 18. Photo No.54 Rifleman C. Rainey, 1st Batt Royal Irish Rifles, of 21 Druce Street, Belfast, died on June 6, of wounds received in action. Photo No.55 Sergt W. G. Ramshaw, 7th Batt Durham Light Infantry (Territorials), killed in action, He was a shipyard draughtsman at the Queen’s Island, and a member of the choir of St Mark’s, Dundela. Photo No.56 Cpl W. A. Richardson, 2nd Royal Scots Fusiliers, of 3 Olive Terrace, Waterside, Derry, reported wounded and missing on 30th October, now reported to have died of wounds received on that date. Photo No.57 Pte S. Rogers, 1st Batt. Royal Irish Fusiliers, of 20 Houston Street, Ballyhackmore died on May 31 of wounds received in action. Photo No.58 Lance-Cpl R. Ross, 1st Batt Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, of 79 Lord Street, Belfast, wounded at the Dardanelles. Photo No.59 Pte J. Sefton, 1st Batt Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, died on May 29 of wounds received in action at the Dardenelles. Photo No.60 Pte Thomas Slater, well-known in connection with the First Derry Boys’ Scouts, of the Mounted Signalling Corps, Royal Engineers, wounded in Flanders, and now rejoined. Photo No.61 Lance-Cpl W. J. Sleith, 1st Battalion Irish Guards, severely wounded on May 18, and now in hospital at Liverpool. His wife resides at 104 Walmer Street, Ballynafeigh. Photo No.62 Lance-Cpl G. Smylie, 1st Batt. Royal Irish Rifles, killed in action in France on May 9. Deceased was a native of Moseley, and his sister resides there. Photo No.63 Pte J. Thompson, 2nd Ball Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers missing since November last. His sister Mrs. J. Murphy, Townshead Street, Ballymoney, would be grateful for information regarding him. Whelan, 2nd Batt Royal Irish Fusiliers, formerly of 3 Derby Street, Belfast, killed in action on April 13. Photo No.67 Pte John Wilson, 2nd Inniskillings, of Ballyclare, who has been wounded on three occasions. Photo No.68 Second-Lieut Stanley Yeates, who has received a commission on the 18th Batt R.I.R. Mr Yeates is son of Mrs Wm Yeates, Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast, and a nephew of Mr Thomas Gallaher. Lieutenant Yeates had previously served in the Y.C.V.’s and the 6th Batt. Black Watch.
