robbed, tortured and murdered Edward Johnson, of Carroe, 
King's County, Quaker, by heating a griddle and placing him

of Thomas Harvey, of Youghal.

Woods, who was employed by the Rev. Dr. Rogers, Rector of 
Artrea, Co. Tyrone, in receiving the Tithe of Barley.

rescuing Terence Branagan, who had been committed for 
felony.

Ringley, Cotton Spinner, at a field near James's Street,

Fermanagh, and for sending a threatening letter to Thomas 
Barton.

Proclamation against the persons who set fire to a kiln of 
Andrew Gregg, of Ballyarnet, in the Liberties of Derry.

1770.

The like against several persons therein named who forcibly 
carried away Anne Browne, spinster, daughter of Simon 
Browne, of Bagnalstown, Co. Carlow.

The like against the person who rescued Barnard Donnelly, a 
dragoon, from a constable who was conveying him to Castlebar 
Gaol.

The like against the persons named therein for forcibly 
carrying away Arabella Allen, of Cork, spinster, with intent 
to marry her to William Bowen Webb, of Mallow, Co. Cork.

The like against the persons who set fire to and burned the 
house of Thomas Cane, of Cloyne, in the County Cork.

The like against the persons therein named for the murder of 
John Toner, of Corvally, Co. Antrim, Schoolmaster.

The like against three persons distinguished by the names of 
Captain Fearnought, Lieutenant Calfskin, and Ensign 
Leathercoat, who headed about three hundred persons with 
white linen over their clothes, and entered the dwelling 
house of William Shee, of Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, 
Merchant, and knocked him down and committed other outrages.

William Crawford, on the lands of Ballysavage, in County

Mulhall, otherwise James Moore, and others for forcibly 
carrying away Catherine Blake, spinster, from the house of 
her grandmother, Lady Viscountess Netterville, Sackville 
Street. Dublin.

The like against the persons who set fire to the houses of 
James and Robert Lusk of Drutamin, Co. Cavan, part of the 
estate of Mrs Alice McCartney.

1772.

Proclamation against the persons who broke into the shop of 
Joseph Harrison of the City of Cork, Wollen Draper, and 
destroyed and carried away several pieces of goods.

The like against the persons called "Hearts of Steel" who 
broke open the bullock house of John Blackwood, Esq., and 
shot ten fat stall-fed oxen.

1773.

The like against the persons who houghed the cattle of 
Thomas Butler, of Woodvill, Co. Cork. Esq.

The like against the persons who fired into the bed-chamber 
of Abraham Morris, of Hanover Hall, Co. Cork, Esq., at his 
lodgings in the City of Cork.

1774.

The like against the a great number of rioters, called White 
Boys, who cut out the tongue of Thomas Newcomon, of Carrick, 
Co. Tipperary.

The like against the persons who cut out the tongue of 
William Beech, a soldier of the 37th Regiment, quartered in 
the City of Limerick.

1775.

The like against the persons who houghed the cattle of 
Edward Whitefield, of Moate, Co. Westmeath, Merchant, and 
committed other outrages.

The like against the persons who set fire to a cowhouse, 
stables, barns and other offices, and to a large quantity of 
hay, corn, etc., belonging to George Story, of Toniarcher, 
Co. Cavan.

The like for apprehending Patrick Plunket and Thomas Connor 
for the murder of John Howell, the younger.

The like against a number of Whiteboys, for the murder of 
Ambrose Power, of Barretstown, Co. Tipperary.

1776.

The like against the persons who houghed the cattle of 
Edward Nugent, at Shinglas, in the County of Westmeath.

1777.

The like against the persons who houghed the cattle of 
George Dowdall, of Ballymahon, Co. Longford. Gent.

The like against the persons who destroyed about twelve 
hundred weight of wool, the property of Terence Duff, of 
Galway's Walk, Dublin.

1778.

Proclamation against the persons who entered the house of 
Thomas Cormick, of Wilton, Co. Cavan, and robbed the said 
Cormick of a silver watch and committed other outrages.

The like against the persons therein named for cutting and 
destroying the rigging of a sloop belonging to John 
Fitzgerald, of Cork, Merchant, and committing other 
outrages.

The like against the persons who cut, burned, and destroyed 
woollen goods to the value of £500, belonging to Henry 
Paterson and Hugh Cleary of the County Cavan.

1779.

The like against Garret Byrne, James Strange, and others, 
for forcibly and feloniously carrying away Catherine Kennedy 
and Anne Kennedy from the house of James Neale, of 
Graignamana, in the County of Kilkenny.

The like against the persons who set fire to several houses 
in the County of Wexford, and who wrote threatening letters 
to Isaac Cullimore, and stabbed and wounded his cattle.

The like against several persons therein named, who 
riotously assembled on the lands of Ballymorris and Cratloe, 
in the County of Clare, in possession of George Quin.

The like against the persons who broke into the houses of 
Nicholas Mahon and Francis Bennett, in the City of Dublin, 
Merchants, and carried away several pieces of Irish Printed 
Linen and cottons and serges.

The like against the persons who rescued James Caar on his 
way to be executed at Athy, for feloniously carrying away 
Judith Mitchell, against her consent, with intent that she 
should marry Thomas Condron, and also having assisted the 
said Thomas Condron in ravishing the said Judith Mitchell.

The like against the persons who burglariously entered the 
dwelling house of Hugh Harper of Aghadulla, in the County of 
Tyrone, and robbed his house.

1780.

Proclamation for apprehending the person or persons who 
fired at and killed John Moore, late of Dorset Street, in 
the city of Dublin.

Proclamations against the persons who riotously assembled 
and feloniously broke open the Gaol of Sligo, and set at 
Liberty Robert Buntin and Michael Rorke, prisoners therein 
confined and under sentence of death.

The like for apprehending the several persons named therein, 
who were concerned in levelling ditches, destroying sluices, 
and filling up drains on the lands of Biglangoe in the 
County of Meath, the estate of Henry Steevens Reilly, in the 
City of Dublin.

Proclamation for discovering all or any of the persons 
concerned in setting fire to the corn and hay in the haggard 
of Henry Fisher of Slane, in the County Meath.

The like for apprehending and prosecuting to conviction the 
several persons therein mentioned, who were feloniously 
concerned in carrying away Elinor Flyng, spinster of 
Ballyilanane, in the County of Waterford, with intent to 
marry her to Patrick Kelly.

Proclamation for apprehending the several persons therein 
mentioned who were concerned in the murder of John Wall, and 
in committing several felonies and outrages on the lads of 
Luke Wall, of Springmount, in the County of Clare.

1781.

The like for discovering, apprehending and prosecuting to 
conviction the persons concerned in destroying a leather 
tuck mill, the property of Thos. Johnson, of Kiltipper, 
Farmer.

Proclamation for apprehending the several persons therein 
named, who set on fire the offices of Giles Powell, of 
Annfield, in the County of Cork.

Proclamation for apprehending the persons concerned in 
breaking open the house of Robert Rigmaiden, of Rathmaiden, 
in the County of Meath, and murdering Margaret Rigmaiden, 
wife of the said Robert.

The like for apprehending the persons concerned in riotously 
assembling about the house of Malachy Fallon, of Attyrory, 
in the County of Roscommon, Gent, and killing Adam Sharpley, 
and committing several other offences.

The like for apprehending the persons named therein, who 
were concerned in the murder of Francis Scullion, of 
Carrick-on-Suir, in the County of Tipperary, a Bailiff 
authorized by the Sheriff of Waterford to assist the 
pursuivant of the High Court of Chancery in the execution of 
an attachment against Mary Power, of Clonkeard, in the said 
County of Waterford.

Proclamation for apprehending the persons who shot dead two 
horses belonging to Thomas Butler, Mayor of the City of 
Kilkenny, in a field near the city.

Proclamation for apprehending George Robert Fitzgerald , 
late of Rockfield, in the County of Mayo, who made his 
escape from the gaol of Castlebar, and committed several 
outrages at Rockfield aforesaid.

Proclamation for apprehending Lovel Tate, a criminal rescued 
from the place of execution at Longford, where he was 
sentenced to be hanged for murder, and for apprehending 
Robert Nixon concerned in said rescue.

1782.

The like for enlarging the time for apprehending the several 
persons concerned in the murder of Adam Sharpley, at the 
house of Malachy Fallon, of Attyrory, in the County of 
Roscommon, and committing several other offences there.

The like for apprehending the persons concerned in the 
murder of Richard Dawson, late of Atherdee, in the County of 
Louth.

The like for apprehending the persons concerned in the 
murder of John Adlercron, late of Dawson Street, in the City 
of Dublin.

Proclamation for apprehending the persons who houghed the 
sheep and cows, and set fire to the offices of Andrew Hely, 
of Tullow, in the County of Tipperary.

1783.

The like for apprehending Thomas Nugent, late a clerk in the 
Cursitor's Office, charged with selling counterfeited and 
forged stamps.

1784.

The like for apprehending the persons who were concerned in 
setting fire to the Corn Mill of Milmurderry, in the County 
of Louth, the property of Thomas Pepper, of Ballygarth.

The like for apprehending the persons who assaulted George 
Quin, of Quinsborough, in the County of Clare, one of his 
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County, as he 
was returning to his dwelling house from assisting some 
officers of the revenue who had made a seizure of smuggled 
tobacco.

Mr. Alexander Clarke, Master Tailor, from his dwelling house 
in Chancery Lane to the tender fields, and besmearing him 
with tar.

were concerned in a riot at Cork, on the 3rd day of May 
last, or in encouraging the rioters to destroy the cargo of 
the ship "Vriendschap" there, the property of Samuel Dick,

accomplices who were concerned in feloniously taking away

the persons who robbed Darby O'Reilly, of Dunboick, in the 
County of Wicklow, and burglariously broke into his dwelling

Proclamation for apprehending George Moxham, James Moxham, 
Robert Moxham, Charles Oats, and Bryan Early, and for 
discovering the other persons concerned in forcibly and 
feloniously taking and carrying away Elinor Perry, Spinster, 
Co. Longford.

The like for apprehending Jeremiah Cannan, and the other 
persons concerned with him, in feloniously carrying away 
against her will, Sarah Cannan, Spinster, Co. Cork.

The like for apprehending Richard English and several others 
charged with being guilty of several murders and felonies in

Rowan, late of Rathcoffy, in the County of Kildare.

Kildare:Samuel Nowlan and Perry Dillon, on the road between 
Blackwood and Corduff.

Like against the persons who waylaid and desperately wounded 
John Hynes and Patrick Gleeson, on the road between Killaloe 
and Broadford, in the County of Clare, as they were 
returning from proving the value of tithes at a consistorial 
court.

Like against the persons concerned in the murder of Patrick 
M'Gone.

Like against the persons concerned in the murder of Michael 
Morris, of Coolaness, Co. Fermanagh.

1803.

Like offering a reward of £1000 for each and every of the 
first three persons concerned in the murder of Arthur, 
Viscount Kilwarden, Chief Justice of his Majesty's Court of 
Kings Bench, and of his nephew, the Rev. Richard Wolfe, on 
the evening of the 23rd July. And directing his Majesty's 
Officers to supress all rebellious instructions, and seize 
arms and ammunition.

Like against the persons who wounded Edward Clarke, esq., a 
Magistrate, and who killed John Parker and Samuel Edmiston, 
and wounded Powell Allen, Henry Doolittle and Caleb Jackson, 
of the Liberty Rangers Corps of Yeomandry, on the 23rd July.

Like against James Corcoran, late of Ballindaggan, Co. 
Wexford and his abettors.

Like against Thomas Wilde and John Mahon for the murder of 
Captain Dodgson.

1805.

Proclamation against the persons concerned in the murder of 
Mr. Thomas Moresey, near Waterford.

1808.

Proclamation for discovering and apprehending the person who 
attacked William Flack, a Corporal in the Wexford Militia, 
in the town of Carlow.

1809.

Proclamation for discovering and apprehending the persons 
concerned in the attack on the house of the Rev. George 
Miles, near Clonmel.

The like for discovering and apprehending the persons who 
murdered James Hearn, of Knockboy, in the County of 
Waterford. Tailor.

1810.

The like for discovering the apprehending the persons 
concerned in setting fire to the concerns of Bridget 
Maguire, in Ardee Street, and also against those concerned 
in writing threatening anonymous letters to Messrs O'Brien, 
Meade & Co., Duffy, Byrne, and Hamill, and Mr. William 
Cotton, Merchants.

1811.

The like for apprehending the persons concerned in 
committing a burglary and outrage in the house of Townley 
Blackwood Harman, at Carranstown, near Duleek, Co. Meath.

The like against the persons who waylaid and wounded John 
Davis, in the employment of Messrs Hutton, and who wrote 
threatening anonymous letter to the said Messrs Hutton.

Proclamation for apprehending Michael Dougherty and others 
for setting fire to a temporary barrack at Greencastle, Co. 
Donegal.

The like against the murderers of Patrick Moorhead, of 
Gurteen, Co. Sligo.

1812.

wounding Michael Tierney, a private in the Limerick City 
Militia.

1815.
