DESCRIPTIVE PARTICULARS
The Premises comprised in this Lot are held under an
Indenture of Fee-farm Grant, bearing date the 3rd of May,
1758, made between Thomas BROWN, Esq., commonly
called Lord KENMARE, of the one part,and William
MAYBURY, then of Clogheen, in the County of Kerry,
Carpenter, of the other part, andare described as ALL
THAT AND THOSE, the Tenement or Plot of Ground, he
(William MAYBURY), lately built in the New Street of
Killarney, bounded on the East with Michael DERGAN'S
Tenement, on the West with an intended lane of passage
to David MURPHY, Esquire's Gardens, on the South with
apassage next to James Trant, Esquire's Gardens, and on
the North with the Main-street, together with a Esquire's
Gardens, on the South with a passage next to James
TRANT, Esquire's Gardens, andon the North with the
Main-street, together with a Yard and Garden thereunto
belonging, as then lately laid out by Henry JONES,
Surveyor, in as large ample, and beneficial a manner as
the said William MAYBURY, then held and enjoyed the
same, (except all mines, and royalties whatsoever,
with liberty to take and carry away the same, paying
reasonable damages for such liberty), to hold (except as
before excepted) unto the said William MAYBURY, his
heirs and assigns, for ever, subject to the yearly rent of 5s.
of the late Irish currency, payable every 1st day of
November, and 1st day of May, for ever, clear of all taxes
and charges whatsoever, (Quit-rent and Crown-rent
only excepted), and which Indenture contains a covenant
that said William Maybury, his heirs and assigns, and his
and their tenant and tenants for the time being on the
premises, should during said demise do suit and service to
the Manor Court of Ross, to the Grist Mills, of Dinagh,
andTucking Mills, of Knockreen, or forfeit and lose to the
said Thomas BROWN, his heirs and assigns,the sum of
five shillings for every such neglect and default.
And that said William MAYBURY, his heirs and assigns,
should have liberty yearly and every year, during the said
demise, to cut turf, on the bog of Reen, or some other
bog on his the said Thomas BROWN'S Estate, in the
county of Kerry, in some convenient place or part
thereof, as the said Thomas BROWN, his heirs and assigns,
or principal Agent, for the time being should appoint
and direct, and not otherwise; the said William MAYBURY,
his heirs and assigns, paying unto the said Thomas
BROWN, his heirs and assigns, at the rate of 8s. the acre,
