Photo No.1
Church Tower
The remins of the church known locally as 'Church Tower'
are situated in the oldest part of St. Michal's Graveyard.
It dates from the early 18th century, possibly on the site
of a 13th century Norman church. It was built with
limestone and stands just over nine metres high (29.5
feet). In 1819 the church was partly demolised and the
stone was used to build St. John's Church in the town
square.
