Written: September 22, 1817
Recorded: October 27, 2017

In the Name of God Amen I Honora Mahony of Belbone
in the County of Kerry Widow being weak in body but of
sound mind and memory do make and declare this as
and for my last Will and Testament hereby revoking any
Will or Wills I might have heretofore made I do hereby
will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Lucy
during her life my lease and interest in the lands of
Belbone as held and enjoyed by me from Francis Russell
Esqr subject to a rent of one hundred and fifty pounds a
year and after her death I leave and bequeath the said
interest to my dearly beloved son Daniel Mahony To my
dearly beloved daughter Lucy I leave all my plate
furniture stock to be entirely at her disposal more
particularly the plate given my beloved and lamented
son Denis by the Rajah of Cooring and that which I
originally purchased and had myself with the exception
of the furniture of my own bed room twelve mahogany
bed room chairs and the two old card tables which I
leave and bequeath to my dear and affectionate Grand
daughter Elizabeth Sullivan whom I have always looked
on as my child together with three hundred pounds the
amount of a bond of my dear Grandson's Christopher
Gallwey now in my possession as tokens of that parental
affection and solicitude that I have always entertained
towards her I leave and bequeath any rents and arrears
that may be due at my death of my tenants in trust to
my beloved daughter Lucy and my affectionate
Grandson Christopher Gallwey to be disposed of in such
charities and amongst my poor and faithful servants as
they may think most acceptable to the Almighty and
most likely to promote the eternal welfare of my poor
soul The interest of my house in Killarney held by Mr
James Manogh I leave and bequeath to my beloved
Sisters Lucas Coughlan McDonough and Cronin share
and share alike as a trifling token of that love and
affection I always had for them in a former Will I
included my dearly beloved Sister Byrne in this trifling
legacy but her now being a member of my family which
I hope and request she will continue as long as it is
agreeable and convenient to her is the cause of my not
including her in it at the same time assuring her I have
not a Sister I feel a more lively interest and affection for
I regret I have it not in my power at present to gratify
the feelings of my heart in leaving to my dear
Grandchildren tokens of my love for them all who were
ever so dear to me and should I hereafter be or become
entitled to any property or money not above disposed of
by my beloved daughter Lucy knows my wishes towards
these dear objects will act as she knows will gratify me
but most particularly recommend to her consideration
my dear Grandson Stephen Gallwey to whom I was
always so much indebted for his judicious advice and
attention on all occasions not to speak of his love and
affection which at all times was so gratifying to me My
subscription to the Hospital my proper remembrances
to all my respected friends the Clergymen whose
Prayers I hope will be ever offered for my poor soul
these I know and request together with any other
wishes and intentions of mine my beloved daughter will
fulfil as far as her limited circumstances will enable her
to do so and I hereby appoint my said beloved daughter
as my sole Residuary Legatee My funeral I wish to be as
private and as little expencive as possible and that I
should be kept at least three days in my room after my
death without show or ..... I hereby nominate and
appoint my daughter Lucy my son Daniel and my
Grandsons Christopher and Stephen Gallwey my
Executors to this my last Will and Testament In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at

she has ever felt for him and I make it my dying request
that he will return to his God and attend to the duties
of his Religion and ever follow the advice of those he is
