Wills: Mahony, Honora September 22, 1817 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Kerry Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com October 28, 2017, 11:47 am WILLS: MAHONY, HONORA SEPTEMBER 22, 1817 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: September 22, 1817 Recorded: October 27, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Honora Mahony of Belbone in the County of Kerry Widow being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this as and for my last Will and Testament hereby revoking any Will or Wills I might have heretofore made I do hereby will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Lucy during her life my lease and interest in the lands of Belbone as held and enjoyed by me from Francis Russell Esqr subject to a rent of one hundred and fifty pounds a year and after her death I leave and bequeath the said interest to my dearly beloved son Daniel Mahony To my dearly beloved daughter Lucy I leave all my plate furniture stock to be entirely at her disposal more particularly the plate given my beloved and lamented son Denis by the Rajah of Cooring and that which I originally purchased and had myself with the exception of the furniture of my own bed room twelve mahogany bed room chairs and the two old card tables which I leave and bequeath to my dear and affectionate Grand daughter Elizabeth Sullivan whom I have always looked on as my child together with three hundred pounds the amount of a bond of my dear Grandson's Christopher Gallwey now in my possession as tokens of that parental affection and solicitude that I have always entertained towards her I leave and bequeath any rents and arrears that may be due at my death of my tenants in trust to my beloved daughter Lucy and my affectionate Grandson Christopher Gallwey to be disposed of in such charities and amongst my poor and faithful servants as they may think most acceptable to the Almighty and most likely to promote the eternal welfare of my poor soul The interest of my house in Killarney held by Mr James Manogh I leave and bequeath to my beloved Sisters Lucas Coughlan McDonough and Cronin share and share alike as a trifling token of that love and affection I always had for them in a former Will I included my dearly beloved Sister Byrne in this trifling legacy but her now being a member of my family which I hope and request she will continue as long as it is agreeable and convenient to her is the cause of my not including her in it at the same time assuring her I have not a Sister I feel a more lively interest and affection for I regret I have it not in my power at present to gratify the feelings of my heart in leaving to my dear Grandchildren tokens of my love for them all who were ever so dear to me and should I hereafter be or become entitled to any property or money not above disposed of by my beloved daughter Lucy knows my wishes towards these dear objects will act as she knows will gratify me but most particularly recommend to her consideration my dear Grandson Stephen Gallwey to whom I was always so much indebted for his judicious advice and attention on all occasions not to speak of his love and affection which at all times was so gratifying to me My subscription to the Hospital my proper remembrances to all my respected friends the Clergymen whose Prayers I hope will be ever offered for my poor soul these I know and request together with any other wishes and intentions of mine my beloved daughter will fulfil as far as her limited circumstances will enable her to do so and I hereby appoint my said beloved daughter as my sole Residuary Legatee My funeral I wish to be as private and as little expencive as possible and that I should be kept at least three days in my room after my death without show or .....
