CEMETERIES: ST. MARY'S CEMETERY
	[Contributed by Major. J. Grove WHITE, 57th
	Regiment] (Continued from vol. ii p 332.)

"Sacred to the remains of Ensign Matthew COULSON
of the Northern Lt. Infantry Regiment of Militia who
died March the 2nd 1813 aged 33 years. This
monument was erected to his memory by the officers
of the Regmt."

"Here lieth inter'd the body of Mrs. Catherine
KNARESBROUGH, daughter to Mr. Oliver
KNARESBROUGH and Thomasine QUIQLEY his wife,
now of Dublin who deceased the 10 day of March and
in the 10: yeare of her age: Anno Dom: 170#/9*

*"The last of this family resident near Kilkenny was the
late James Herbert KNARESBROUGH. J.P. formerly of
Inch House. The property has, I think, descended to a
nephew, a Mr. DARCY, of the well-known brewery,
Dublin'

"Underneath this stone lie the remains of Carlyon De
COURCY, the beloved wife of Major T. HAMILTON of
H.M. (1) 9th Regt. of Foot. She died on the 28th of
May, 1838 the early age of 28 years.

"Sacred to the memory of Francis CHUDLEIGH only
child of James Florence MURRAY, Esq. 73rd Regt.
Born 13th June 1844. Of such is the kingdom of
Heaven. Also sacred to the memory of Eliza, wife of
James Florence MURRAY, Esq. 73rd Regt. and
Daughter of Francis SISSON, Esq. late Ordnance Store Keeper
Montreal,Canada. Born 20th November 1821. Died 13th
August, 1848. Blessed are they who die in the Lord."

Beloved Child of Lieut. D'ARCEY73rd Regiment who
departed this life December 20th 1837 aged three and
three months. Suffer little children to come unto me
and forbid them not for such is the Kingdom of
Heaven."

ye 8th, 1750 aged 38 years. Also ye Body of John
KILLINGHER who died July ye 7th, 1767, And ye Body
of Christopher son of Michael and Elizabeth
KILLINGHER of the City of Dublin who died June ye 4th
1769 aged six years and four months."

Elizabeth HUGHES alias ROVIN who depd this life Novr
26th 1796 aged 36 years. Also her husband Richd
HUGHES died April 17th 1807 aged 54 years with four
of their children"

Bath, Somersettshier who died Jany the 1st 1804 aged
44 yrs."

HUSKINS wife of Hennery (sic) WHITEHEAD apothry."

"Erected by Mrs. Margaret PACK in memory of her
sister Elenor GALWAY who depd this life the 15th
March 1794 aged 20 years. May she rest in peace.
Amen"

"Here lies the body of Lewes CHAPELLIER. Esqr. who
departed this life the 16th of April 178_ aged 80
years. Here also lies the body of his wife Mrs.
Catharine CHAPELLIER alias PRICE who depd this life
the 12th of April 1787, aged 86 years"

'L. CHAPELLIER was a benefactor to Kilkenny, having
bequeathed funds' the interest of which is devoted to
the purchase of bread, given weekly to the inmates of
Lee's-lane (now St. Mary's-lane) Almshouse and also
in giving marriage portions to a certain number of
Protestant girls.

'Lewis Chapellier KINCHELA, late Senior Surgeon to the
County Kilkenny Infirmary, and his uncle Lewis C.
KINCHELA late of Bleach Green near Kilkenny were
near relatives of the said Lewes CHAPELLIER.'
