Cemeteries: Whitechurch, alias Castlane Church *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Kilkenny Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Contributed by C.Hunt and Jacquie Liddiard CEMETERIES: WHITECHURCH, ALIAS CASTLANE CHURCH [From Miss Wyndham-Quin) Inside the church:- To the memory | of | the Revd Charle Harte, AM Rector and vicar of Castlane | He died 14th day of July 1865 aged 70 years | This tablet was erected by his parishioners | and other sorrowing friends in testimony of their | respect for his faithful ministry during a period | of 17 years, and in affectionate remembrance of his social worth. ________________ Sacred to the memory of | The Revd Thomas Maunsell, MA who departed this | life the 23rd day of Nov 1846, in the 69th year of | his age, and 46th of his ministry. Upwards of 40 of which he was the Rector of this Parish. In every relation of life he was a steady | consistent Christian constantly relieving the | wants of the poor and afflected, and as a minister | of Christ's glorious and everlasting Gospel he was | ever a most faithful pastor. As he lived so he | died, in the sure and certain hope of eternal | salvation through the merits of his blessed Redeemer.
