Obituary: Dollard, Nicholas F November 23, 1951 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Kilkenny Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Brian Wray bjwray@eircom.net November 27, 2009, 2:55 pm OBITUARY: DOLLARD, NICHOLAS F NOVEMBER 23, 1951 The funeral of Nicholas Dollard huband of Catherine (Connolly) was conducted this morning from his home, 3 Pearl St, Waltham with a solemn mass of requem at St Mary's Church at 9 o'clock. Rev. Joseph b Corkery was celebrant of the mass, assisted by Rev. Joseph w Healy as deacon and Rev John A Cantwell as sub-deacon. Rev. Aloysius Madden of Dorchester was seated within the sanctuary. Miss Mary L Morrissey was organist, directed the choir and also was the soloist. She said "Miseremi Mei" at the offerty and "Pie Jesu" at the end of mass. The bearers were William Doiron, Patrick Connolly, James Rhodes, Granville Locker, Philip Garrigan and James Treddin. Mayor G Chauncey Cousens, former mayor John F. Devane, Director of Public Works Herbert F. Howe and Edward r. Donahoe, chief foreman of Public Works were among those present. A representation from the City Employees Union was headed by Joseph L LaMontague, president. Burial took place in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery, with prayers by Fr. Corkery and Fr. Madden.
