VITALS- DEATHS: A RETURN OF INQUESTS - 1841
	A return of inquests held by several coroners
	of the counties and cities of ireland for each month
	during the year 1841. Giving name, date of inquest,
	where held, and finding of each inquiry.

	Note: "VISITATION FROM GOD" was a death where the
	cause was unknown.

CITY OF KILKENNY
=================
FLYNN, John, on the 15th Aug, in Upper Patrick Street,
died from drinking a quantity of ardent spirits.

GLINDON, Mary, on the 23rd Feb, in Upper Patrick
Street, died by visitation of God.

GRACE, Michael, on the 29th May, at Radestown
Stopford, accidentally drowned.

KEOGH, Francis, on the 14th June, in the Lunatic
Asylum, that the deceased, a lunatic, came by his
death by a blow inflicted with a spade on his head by
James Clancy, another lunatic.

LANDRICAN, John, on the 14th Nov, at Upper Patrick
Street, died by visitation of God.

MacCARTY, 8th May, Walkin-Street, that deceased
MacCARTY died by visitation of God.

NOWLAN, Richard, on the 26th March, in Flood Street,
came by his death from as kick of a mule.

SPRUGHAN, Bridget, on the 3rd April, at Lacken,
accidentally killed by a fall from a car.

STEPHENS, Samuel, on the 8th Oct, at Smithstown,
died from exhaustion, and being exposed to the
inclemency of the weather.

WALTON, Frances Eleanor, on the 13th Aug, in the
house of Thomas WALTON, accidentally drowned.

WHITE, Michael, on the 12th Oct., at Tholsel, died by
visitation of God.

BENNETT, Catherine, on the 1st June, at Gurteen,
drowned by falling into the river Suir.

BREEN, Elizabeth, on the 9th Dec., at Nugham, died by
visitation of God.

BROWN, Thomas, both died on the 29th Nov, at
Piltown, both died from the effects of impure air and
suffocation.*

BURCHALL, Thomas, an infant, on the 16th March, at
Bennettsbridge, died from fatigue.

CAHILL, Margaret, on the 19th August, at Red Mills,
died by falling into a mill- stream, either by accident,
or that she threw herself in by design.

CANAVAN, James, on the 10th May, at Gouran, was
murdered by Daniel M'Cabe.

CLARKE, Thomas, on the 13th July, at Gurtrush, died
from intoxication and exposure to the cold.

CODY, John, on the 1st Sept, at Garrygogue, died from
the effects of a diseased heart.

CONWAY, Mary, on the 11th Nov., at Cappa,
accidentally burnt.

CORCORAN, Patrick, on the 4th Dec., at
Coortualoohillan, died by visitation of God.

COSTELLO, Infant, on the 28th June at Knockroe,
believed to have been drowned by Nancy Costello.

CULLEN, William, on the 13th Aug, at Thomastown,
accidentally killed.

DALY, Edmund, on the 28th August, at Oldtown, death
caused by the rupture of a blood vessel.

DELAHUNTY, Michael, on the 22nd May, at Carricken,
died from apoplexy.

DORNA, Margaret, on the 14th June, at Clomanto,
death caused by being delivered of a child in the open
air, and then being left out all night.

EGAN, James, on the 12th Jan, at Conahee, died from
apoplexy.

FORRESTAL, Ellen, on the 18th Jan, at Tenneranny,
died from a gunshot wound received from a boy,
named Thomas FITZPATRICK.

GOALIN, or GOSLIN, John, on the 29th June, at Swift's
Heath, died by shooting himself.

HAND, Peter, on the 6th Nov., at Ballyneale, died from
having accidentally fallen into the river Nore.

HARRINGTON, Bridget, 25th June, at Killaloe,
accidentally killed.

HIGGINS, Mary, on the 6th Dec., at Mooneen Roe,
accidental death.

KEALY, Anne, on the 14th Sept., at Bamafea,
accidentally drowned.

KEEFF, Richard, on the 29th Nov, at Clashwilliam,
accidental death.

KENNEDY, Michael, both died on the 16th Feb, at
Brownsford, and both were accidentally drowned.*

KENNY, Mary, on the 11th June, at Innistiogue, died
from apoplexy.

LOUGHNANE, Peter, on the 22nd Nov, at Crow Hill,
died by visitation of God.

LYNDON, John, on the 7th August, at the County Gaol,
(a convict under sentence of transportation)
committed suicide.

MILLEA, Richard, on the 28th June, at Rossenarra,
found drowned, which we believe to be accidental.

MURPHY, John, 11th Nov, at Raheen, died from
exhaustion.

MURPHY, John, 19th June, at Lower Dunbell,
accidentally drowned.

PHELAN, James, on the 27th Jan, at Moolum,
murdered by persons unknown.

PHELAN, Margaret, on the 4th Dec, at Mullinahone,
died from a wound on her head, supposed to have
been an accident.

REILY, 2nd Dec, at Ballyhale, that deceased, known as
Reily, died from old age and debility.

RIGBY, Michael, on the 15th May, at Ballyceera,?, was
murdered by Patrick DONOVAN, and aided and
assisted by John WALSH.

RYAN, Mary, on the 17th Nov., at Kiltorken,
accidentally burnt.

RYAN, Patrick, on the 13th Dec. at Freshford, died
suddenly.

TRAYNOR, Patrick, on the 9th Sept, at Brownstown,
died by visitation of God.

WATT, William, on the 24th Nov, at Low Grange, death
caused by suffocation.
