In the Name of God Amen I Laurence Brennan Seaman
belonging to his Majesty's Ship Pearl George
Montague Esqr Commander being in bodily health and
of sound and disposing mind and memory and
considering the Perils and Dangers of the Seas and
other uncertainties of this transitory life Do for
avoiding controversies after my Decease make publish
and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner
following Vizt. First I recommend my Soul to God that
gave it And as for and concerning all my Wages and
Prize Money that is now or may be due to me at the
time of my Decease I leave and bequeath to my loving
father John Laurence Brennan of Castle Combe in the
County of Kilkenny and Kingdom of Ireland giving and
herby granting to the said John Laurence Brennan
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the
Second day of June in the Year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and eighty one and in the
twenty first Year of his Majesty's Reign Laurence
Brennan x his mark
Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Thos
Cobham Surgeon to the Navy Hospital at Charles
Town Jno Cusick Witness 6 June 1782
Administration with Will annexed granted to Bridget
Brennan Widow Mother of the deceased John
Laurence Brennan dying in the lifetime of the Testator
