WILL: DUMFOY OR DUNPHY, PATRICK NOVEMBER 6, 1763

In the Name of God Amen I Patrick Dumphoy Seaman
belonging to his Majesty's Ship Grafton being of
sound and disposing Mind and Memory and
considering the perils and Dangers of the Seas and the
uncertainties of this transitory Life do for avoiding
Controversies after my decease make publish and
declare this my last Will and Testament in manner
following that is to say first I recommend my Soul to
God that gave it and my Body to the Earth or Sea as it
shall please God to Order and as for all my Worldly
Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as
followeth that is to say all and singular such Wages
Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods
Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways
due owing or belonging unto me at my decease I do
give devise and bequeath the same unto my beloved
Brothers Thomas and John Dumfoy and my beloved
Sister Mary Dumfoy of the Parish of Callian in the
County of Kilkenny in Ireland to be equally divided
between them and I do hereby nominate and appoint
the said Thomas and John and Mary Dumfoy Executors
and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
hereby revoking all former and other Wills
Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time
heretofore made and I do ordain and ratify these
presents to stand and be for my only last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I
have set my Hand and Seal the sixth day of November
and in the third year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the third over Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in
the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
sixty three Patrick Dumfoy his Mark _
Signed Sealed published and declared in the presence
of John McDonald _ George Elliott
Proved at London 26 February 1765 by the Oath of
Thomas Dunphy otherwise Dumfoy Power reserved to
other Executors
