Laois - Cregan, Thomas 1915 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Laois (Queens) Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: John Cregan john_cregan@tiscali.co.uk August 1, 2011, 3:35 pm Source: Family Archive Thomas Cregan, born c1842 in Ballinakill. Emigrated to Manchester before 1861. His father was Martin, possibly the one in the Griffiths Valuation in Derrycloney, Ardea. The photograph was taken in Broadbottom, Derbyshire outside the house where his son was living (it still stands). I'm guessing at a date of about 1915. Additional Comments: I'm very proud of my great-grandfather. Considering he survived a famine and then worked in a cotton mill for 50 years, I think he looks pretty good.
