Murray, George September 12, 1762 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Leitrim Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com December 28, 2017, 9:01 am MURRAY, GEORGE SEPTEMBER 12, 1762 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: September 12, 1762 Recorded: December 28, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Geo: Murray of the Parish of Cloen in the County of Lithram in the Kingdom of Ireland and now Marine on board his Majesty's Ship Defiance Geo: Mackenzie Esquire Commander being of sound and disposing mind and Memory and considering the Perils and Dangers of the seas and other uncertainties of this Transitory life do for avoiding Controversies after my Decease make publish and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say first I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my Body I Commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to Order and as for and concerning all my Worldly Estate I Give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say I Give and bequeath unto my loving friend Gilbert Higgins of the Parish of Mullingare in the county of Westmeath in the Kingdom aforesaid and now on board the aforesaid Ship Marine all my Bounty Money head Money Prize Money Smart Money short Allowance Money Wages and all other Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Chattells and Estate whatsoever as shall be in any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I do Give devise and bequeath the same unto the aforesaid Gilbert Higgins of the Ship and Parish aforesaid And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Gilbert Higgins my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made and I do ordain and ratify these presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of September 1762 and in the second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith etc. Geo Murray his Mark signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Geo Mackenzie Wm Paterson J Chapman James Leventon Proved at London 16th August 1763 PCC Prob11/891
