April 2nd. Monday night, four houses at Morelands, near the canal, were entered by a large party of fellows, armed with blunderbusses and pistols, and swore the owners to deposit a certain sum of money at a place they had named-however, it is supposed that their real object was to obtain fire arms, which they particularly enquired for. Wednesday night, James Clogan and Michael Shendy, under sentence of transportation, cut their bolts, and attempted to escape from the County Prison, but were fortunately discovered by the gaoler.
