Will: Connell, John June 15, 1817 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Limerick Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com June 22, 2018, 12:42 pm CONNELL, JOHN JUNE 15, 1817 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: June 15, 1817 Recorded: June 22, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I John Connell of the Town of Rath Keate in the County of Limerick Surgeon being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making null and void all former Wills heretofore made by me I leave and bequeath unto the Parish Priest of Rathkeate ten pounds Sterling to be laid out in Charity for the Soul of John Hallman MD late of said Rathkeate and to be paid in three Months after my decease To my Brother Thomas Connell I leave and bequeath the Sum of one hundred Pounds which I sent him over from my Agent and also six Guineas a year from the year 1810 issuing out of my holdings in Limerick I also bequeath unto him my new suit of Clothes To my Niece Mary Anne Leake I leave and bequeath fifty pounds to be laid out at interest for her until she becomes of Age To Michael Funnell Leake I leave and bequeath my Watch and Surgical Instruments which he may dispose of as he or his parents shall think proper and I also leave him the Trunk in my room To my Sister Mrs Leake I leave and bequeath the Sum of ten Pounds and the distribution of all my Linen Stockings To my Sister Mrs Walsh I leave and bequeath the Sum of ten Pounds To my Niece Ellen Walsh now at Mr Connell's I leave and bequeath the Sum of fifty pounds to be laid out at interest for her until she becomes of Age and I also appoint my Brother Thomas Connell residuary Legatee of any other Property I may die possessed over and above the above bequeathed but subject to my weak & funeral expences and of this my last Will and Testament I appoint my Brother Thomas Connell and Samuel Leake of Rathkeate Executors In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of June 1817 seventeen when I direct and appoint that the fifty Pounds which I left Ellen Walsh hereinbefore named shall go to and revert to her Sister Mary Anne Walsh now at Tremoy in case the said Ellen shall happen to die before attaining her fill age _ John Connell (Attestation Clause) Jno Lee P.P.
