12, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Mary Mahon Relict of Lawrance Mahon late of the City of Limerick Esq decd being of sound and disposing mind do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and annulling all former or other Wills by me made or spoken in the first place I bequeath my Soul to God and my body to the earth to be decently interred along with my Brother the late Jasper Stritch Esqy in St Mary's Church Yard in the City of Limerick and as to what property or worldly substance I may be possessed of or entitled unto at the time of my decease I will & dispose of the same to my friend William Russell at Bank Place in the City of Limerick Mercht in trust for the payment and discharge of the following legacies and bequests first I desire that my just debts and funeral expences may be paid with as little delay as possible after my decease I will & bequeath unto my Sister Bridget Stritch the sum of three hundred pounds I leave & bequeath unto nephew Maurice John Felan one hundred pds to Helen Felan daughter of the said Maurice Jno Felan I bequeath the sum of fifty pounds to my niece Mrs Bold wife of Mr Bold Apothecary I bequeath the sum of fifty pounds to the Reverend Gentn of Creagh Lane I leave to be distributed among them share and share alike for which I charge their conscience to say masses for the repose of my Soul to the Revd Gentlemen of New Gate Lane Convent I leave fifty pounds share & share alike for which I charge their conscience to say masses for the repose of my soul I leave unto Mrs Joe Wife of Edward Joe Saddler the sum of twenty two pounds fifteen shillings unto Margaret Power who now resides in the Abbey Near Limerick I bequeath the sum of eleven pounds seven shillings and sixpence to the Revd Joseph Harrigan of Limerick I bequeath the sum of eleven pounds seven shillings and sixpence in aid of his Chappel to Mrs Anne Meade of Limerick I bequeath the sum of fifteen pounds in aid of the Roman Catholic female Charity School under her meritorious and praise worthy patronage to the Revd Patrick Hogan I leave twenty pounds for the use of the Poor to the Governors of the fever Hospital I bequeath the sum of fifteen pounds in aid of that excellent Charity to Miss Bold daughter of John Bold aforesaid I bequeath my Gold Watch to Mrs Bourchier Wife of Mr Bourchier Apothecary I bequeath my earrings to Anne Hayes who formerly lived with me and who is now in the service of Mr Bold I bequeath my own feather bed and bed Cloaths and also all my wearing apparel together with two Guineas to William Russell of Bank Place Limerick aforesaid I leave and bequeath the sum of fifty pounds The Residue & Remainder of my property of every kind whatsoever and wheresoever I leave at the disposal of my executor hereinafter named to be applied by him for such pious purposes and uses as shall appear to him to be most conducive to the honor and glory of God and the Salvation of my Soul And I do hereby constitute and appoint the said William Russell of Bank Place Limerick sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary Mahon have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen the foregoing being first read to me Mary Mahon her Mark X (Attestation Clause) John Molony _ Connor Callaghan _ James Bourke Whereas I Mary Mahon Relict of Lawrence Mahon late of the City of Limerick Esq did on the sixth day of September last publish and declare my last Will and Testament in writing whereby I appointed my friend William Russell of Bank Place in the City of Limerick my sole Executor which I now confirm And whereas I now deem it necessary to add a Codicil to my said Will & Testamt I do therefore declare this to be a Codicil to the same and Will and direct that my said Executor shall as soon as may be convenient to him pay and discharge the following Legacies and bequests which I hereby bequeath to the following persons viz ten Guineas to the widow of the late Dr Kelly of Limerick ten Guineas to Miss Eliza Bold daughter of Mr John Bold five Guineas to the Revd Michael Quin of the Dominican Chappel Limerick to Mrs Bold's maid one Guinea to Joseph Manly one Guinea my Low-boy to be given to Miss Eliza Bold first taking out whatever may be in it and in order that the amount and nature of my property may be the better known & understood I have directed a Schedule or Inventory to be taken thereof and do hereby declare the following to be faithful & correct viz Judgment against the Estate of the late Sir Joseph Peacock Esq for the principal sum of two hundred pounds together with several years' interest £1.7200 N.B Michl Russell Atty is now taking proceedings for the recovery of this debt Patrick Power Esq owes my one year's Annuity due 29th September last exclusive of the execution lately handed to the Sherriffs of Limerick against him at my Suit the amount of which execution I have directed to be paid to Mr John Bold in liquidation of what I owed him for Dist and Lodging £1.756.17.6 William Russell of Bank Place aforesaid has in his hands about sixty pounds of mine to pay my funeral and testamentary expences £1.760 I have a demand of three hundred pounds to Mr William Stackpoole of Clohanatinry which he received out of Court for my use and which he never accounted with me for there is a sum of money lodged in Court which was recovered of Messrs Foster of the county of Galway to part of which I have a right but Mr Terence O'Brien of Limerick and others have laid a detainer on it by Caveat which has prevented my getting any part of it and which if ever recovered I will and bequeath to my said Executor to be disposed of my him in such manner as shall appear to him to be most conducive to the Honor and Glory of God and the Salvation of my Soul In Witness whereof I the said Mary Mahon have hereunto put my hand and seal the same being first read to me this
