In the Name of God Amen I Hugh Maguy of Charlingford in the
County of Louth in Ireland sailor on board of his Majesty's
Ship the Venice being very sick and weak in body but of
perfect mind thanks be given unto God calling unto mind the
Mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for
all Men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and
Testament that is to say first I Give and renounce my soul
into the hands of the Almighty God and my body to the Earth
to be buried in a Christian manner not doubting but at the
general Resurrection I shall receive the same again as
touching my Worldly Goods wherewith God has blessed me
especially what appertains to me by Wages or Prize Money on
board of the above mentioned ship the Venice I make over
Give and dispose to my beloved Brother John Maguy of
Charlingford whom I likewise Constitute Executor of this my
last Will and Testament all and singular my Goods to be
freely possessed by him and do annull and revoke all Wills
or Testaments by me any way before mentioned signed sealed
published and delivered in Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 20th day of October 1762
