Meath - Wills: Brien, Bernard May 20, 1741 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Meath Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com January 3, 2018, 2:05 pm WILLS: BRIEN, BERNARD MAY 20, 1741 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: May 20, 1741 Recorded: January 3, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I Bernard Brien of Killeen in the County of Meath in Ireland and now Mariner belonging to his Majesties Ship the Chester being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory do hereby make this my last Will and Testament first and principally I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping for remission of all my Sins through the Merits of Jesus Christ my blessed Saviour and Redeemer and my Body to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God and as for such Worldly Estate and Effects which I shall be possessed of or intitled unto at the time of my decease I give and bequeath the same as followeth that is to say unto my dear and loving Brother Michael Brien of Killeen in the County of Meath in Ireland as aforesaid all and every my Goods Chattels and Effects of what nature or kind soever together with my pay Prize Money bounty Money Short Allowance Money or my other Sum and Sums of Money as shall or may be due to me at the time of my decease and in case of his decease I bequeath the same to my dear and loving Sister Mary Hogan alias Brien Wife of William Hogan of Dublin Victualler and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother Michael Brien as aforesaid or in absence the aforesaid Mary Hogan Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do give and bequeath unto my said Executor all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever both real and personal hereby revoking and making void all other and former Wills by me heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twentieth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one and in the fourteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God over Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith Bernard Brien (Attestation Clause) Geo: Augtus Prosser _ Danll Driscoll Bosn Proved at London 4 March 1744/5 by the Oath of Mary Hogan (Wife of William Hogan) the Sister and Surviving Executor PCC Prob11/738
