Will: Cochrane, Ann January 5, 1853 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Monaghan Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 25, 2017, 1:33 pm COCHRANE, ANN JANUARY 5, 1853 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: January 5, 1853 Recorded: September 25, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Ann Cochran of Clones in the County of Monaghan Spinster do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made Whereas my late brother John Cochran of Vansittart Terrace Greenwich in the County of Kent Surgeon Previous to his death duly made and published his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the twenty ninth day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty and also a Codicil thereto bearing date the first of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty two which said Will and Codicil were on or about the tenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and thirty two duly proved in Doctors Commons in England and probate thereof granted to the executors therein named And whereas my said late brother did by his said Will bequeath unto me the interest dividends rents issues and annual proceeds of certain funds and property therein mentioned for the term of my natural live and did alos by his said Will authorize and empower me out of the residue of his estate therein mentioned to give and bequeath the sum of one thousand pounds Bank three pounds per centum consolidated annuities to such person or persons and in such manner as I should by my last Will and Testament to be by me signed and published in the presence of two or more credible witnesses direct or appoint Now therefore in pursuance and execution of the said Power so given I do hereby give bequeath and appoint said sum of one thousand pounds Bank three pounds per centum consolidated annuities unto John Brady of Clones in the County of Monaghan Bank Manager And I do direct the said sum of one thousand pounds Bank three pounds per centum consolidated annuities shall in pursuance of the said Will of my said Brother be paid assigned or transferred to the said John Brady accordingly I direct the said John Brady to pay over to Mrs Jane McCartney of Abbey Lodge in the County of Fermanagh for her own sole use and separate use only the produce of Two hundred pounds of the said annuities I also direct him to pay over to Miss Anne Cochrane of Dromard in the County of Monaghan the produce of Two hundred pounds of said annuities I also direct the produce of fifty pounds of said annuities to be applied for the benefit and advantage of Anna Brady of Clones daughter of the said John Brady I also direct the following sums to be paid to my present and late Servants The produce of fifty pounds of said annuities to be paid to Anne Carson The produce of fifty pounds of said annuities to Rebecca Gillespie otherwise Doonan and the produce of ten pounds of said annuities to William Little I also direct the produce of three hundred pounds of said annuities to be invested by said John Brady in public or good private security and the interest of same to be paid over to Mrs Margaret Irons of Clones half yearly during her natural life and upon her death two thirds of the said Principal sum of said produce of three hundred pounds of said annuities to be paid to the aforesaid Anne Cochrane and one third to be applied for the benefit of the aforesaid Anne Brady if then living but if not to sink into the residue hereafter mentioned And as to the rest residue and remainder of the said one thousand pounds Bank three pounds per centum consolidated annuities with any interest or dividends there may be thereon I give and bequeath the same unto the said John Brady his executors and administrators together with all the rest residue and remainder of whatever property I may die possessed of or entitled to and I order and direct my funeral and testamentary expences to be paid by the said John Brady I hereby nominate and appoint William Cochrane of Dromard aforesaid Esqr and the before named John Brady Executors of this my Will Whereunto I have In witness thereof signed by name this fifth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty three _ Anne Cochrane (Attestation Clause) Andrew Clarke _ George Leghorn Proved at London 5 June 1856 PCC Prob11/2233
