Will: Duffy, Bernard August 16, 1819 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Monaghan Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 24, 2017, 3:10 am DUFFY, BERNARD AUGUST 16, 1819 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: August 16, 1819 Recorded: September 24, 2017 In the Name of God Amen The last Will and Testament of Bernard Duffy farrier Captn Frazer's Troop of 8th or Kings Royal Irish Regiment of Light Dragoons I Bernard Duffy of Troop & Regiment aforesaid being in sound mind memory and judgment though weak in body do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills and Testaments made by me I will and bequeath to my much beloved mother Ally Duffy residing in the Town of Monaghan Parish of Monaghan County of Monaghan Ireland all the Property I may die possessed of including every particle of it such as ready money sums due me & effects etc etc And I further will that in case of her dying previous to the receipt of this Will that the whole be collected by my Executors and transmitted to the Revd Priest Magina of the Parish & County aforesaid to be distributed between all my brothers and sisters that may be then living that is after my well beloved sister Mary shall receive the sum of £40 sterling out of it And then the overplus divided amongst the rest share and share alike And I request of Troop Regt Serjeant Major Maudsley and Hospital Segt John Mitchell to be my sole Executors And to have this my last Will carried fully into effect with full authority to pay all sums due by me And to receive all lawful debts due to me to which I set my mark at Meerinton (?) the 16th day of August 1819 Bernard Duffy _ Done in presence of T Farrell Serj _ Pa: Brady Proved at London 26th February 1824 by the Oath of John Maudsley one of the Executors Power reserved to John Mitchell PCC Prob11/1681
