Sloop of War Ariel No. 250 in the KB being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and Memory thanks be given to God calling to mind the mortality of the Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of All I Give and recommend my Soul into the Hand of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form firstly I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Brother Richard Boil McKee all the Land formerly held by John Miller and the rest held by himself and my Mother together with all the Wages due to me of the aforesaid Perseverance and Ariel Vessells of War on condition of his Paying unto my Sister Elizabeth Moore and her daughter Eleanor Moore the Sum of ten Pounds Sterling each having long since that my poor Mother was dead of the same disease as my own And I do appoint the aforesaid Richard Boil McKee and Thomas Boil of Cabara in the County of Cavan my Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other Testaments Wills Legacies bequests and Executors by me in any ways before named willed and bequeathed ratified and confirmed this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and Seal this twenty seventh day of April in the Year of Our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and eighty one Benjamin McKee his mark X (Attestation Clause) Geo: Baillie _ John Beardon Surgeons Proved at London 16 June 1792 PCC Prob11/1220
