Written: June 11, 1808

In the name of God Amen. I John Huleatt of Parsonage Rector 
of the Parish of Shinrone in the Kings County Clerke being 
of sound mind and disposing understan'g [understanding] 
Thanks be to almighty God To make and publish this my last 
will and testament in the manner and form following revoking 
and annulling all former and other will or wills heretofore 
at any time by me made and declaring this alone to be my 
last will and testament that is to say, I desire in the 
first place that all my just debts and funeral expenses 
shall be paid by my executors herein after named and after 
the payment thereof I leave devise and bequest all my right 
title and interest in my farm and lands of Clashduff in the 
County of Clare which I hold virtue of a lease to me made by 
the late Lord Viscount Perry for and during the remainder 
rest residue  and time to come thereof and unexpired with 
all and singular the rights issues and profits therefore in 
any wise thereunto appertaining, and also a sum of money due 
to me by Henry Brady of Raheens in the county of Clare Esq. 
My Brother in law for the remaining part of my late wife's 
fortune by bonds lodged in the trust with William Adams of 
Wilbroke [probably means Willbrook] County of Clare and 
which I am now selling for in his majesty high court of 
Chancery in Ireland by my agent Henry Palmer Esq. of York 
street Dublin. 
Together with all such property of what nature of kind

soever of which I am now seized or possesed of or of which I 
shall be at the time of my decease seized or possesed of or 
intitled unto or in any wise interested in both real and 
personal estate save as herein after mentioned, unto my 
daughter Henrietta Palmer otherwise Huleatt widow of Thomas 
Palmer late of Kiballaskcnan?? In the Kings County Esq. 
deceased. Catherine Huleatt, Alice Huleatt, Elizabeth 
Huleatt, Elinor Huleatt and my two sons John and James 
Huleatt to be equally divided between and among my said 
daughters and my said two sons James and John in equal share 
and proportions and to the survivors and survivors of them, 
it is my will and intention that if any or either of my said 
daughters save and except my said daughter Henrietta or said 
two sons James and John Huleatt should die under the age or 
ages of twenty one years unmarried and without lawful issue 
that the said part of shares of such of my said daughter 
Henrietta or my said two sons James or John or any of them 
shall as I said before go to and be equally divided amongst 
the survivors or survivor of my said daughters and two sons 
James and John as aforesaid, and that each of my daughters 
save as aforesaid and my said two sons James and John shall 
upon this

Attaining the age of twenty one years respectively have full 
power and authority to dispose of her his or their shares or 
share of my said property to any or either of my said 
children by deed will or otherwise as he she or they may 
think proper, I give leave and bequeath unto my son Hugh 
Brady Huleatt (having before provided for him) my riding 
horse, my watch with all my books and manuscript. Having 
passed my  son in law the late Thomas Palmer my bond for 
three hundred pounds as a marriage fortune with my said 
daughter Henrietta which bond she now holds. But promises to 
cancel and give up said bond on my providing for her in this 
my wife as herein before mentioned and set forth now my wife 
is that in case she my said daughter Henrietta  shall refuse 
or decline to give up the said bond for three hundred pounds 
to my executors within three months after my decease that 
then and in that case I Leave her but one British shilling 
and that the share and proportion of my property herein 
d...ised? [devised makes sense but doesn't seem to fit?] and 
bequeathed unto her shall be equally divided between and 
amongst my other said daughters and my said two sons Janes 
and John in equal shares and proportions and to the 
survivors and survivor of them. And lastly I do hereby 
nominate constitute and appoint my son Hugh Brady Huleatt 
and Corker Wright of Rutland in the Kings County Esq. 
Executors of this my last will and testament and guardians 
to the persons of such of any children save and except my 
said Daughter Henrietta as are under the age of twenty one 
years during their respective minorities and in whom I 
confide and have no doubt will to the utmost of their 
abilities with justice and impartiality endeavor to carry 
this my will fully into effect according to my intentions 
and the trust I have hereby reposed in them, in testimony 
whereof I have hereunto and to a duplicate hereof subscribed 
my name and affixed my seal this 11 eleventh day of June in 
the year 1808

Declared by the testator as and for his Last will and 
testament in presence of us who in the presence of each 
other and also of the Testator and at his request and desire 
have subscribed our names.

Additional Comments:
Received image copy from Australian descendants of Rev. John 
Huleatt. The reverend's daughter Elizabeth married Frederick 
Galbraith. Their son Thomas Palmer Galbraith emigrated to 
Australia. The descendents have a copy of the will.
