Will: Balfe, Richard January 16, 1818 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Roscommon Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com July 27, 2017, 2:25 pm BALFE, RICHARD JANUARY 16, 1818 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: January 16, 1818 Recorded: July 27, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Richard Balfe later of the City of Dublin now at Cloonalis in the County of Roscommon being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me heretofore made I give devise and bequeath unto Richard Balfe the third Son of John Balfe of Cloonalis in the County of Roscommon my brother a deed of annuity granted to me and my late partner James Kelly by Thomas Revell Bagot dated the first day of June one thousand eight hundred and fourteen and the said Deed of Annuity has been assigned by the said James Kelly to me and said Deed of annuity produces me a yearly income of six hundred and forty two pounds eighteen shillings for which there has been the Sum of four thousand five hundred pounds added to the said Thomas Revell Bagot being the consideration money in said deed of annuity and I do also give and bequeath unto the said Richard Balfe the Policy of insurance effected by me and my late Partner James Kelly upon the life of the said Thomas Revell Bagot on his granting said annuity I also will and bequeath unto the aforesaid Richd Balfe & Daniel Kelly of Cowans bond for one thousand pounds legally vested in me and in case that I should depart this life before the aforesaid Richd Balfe attains the age of twenty one years it is my Will that all Emoluments arising from the aforesaid deed of annuity and aforesaid bonds of Daniel Kelly of Cowins and also Henry Blake of Lahinches bond shall be laid out in Government Security for his benefit until he attains the age of twenty one years I appoint my Brother John Balfe Guardian to his said Son and my Will is that in case of the death of the said Richard Balfe before he attains the age of twenty one years that my Brother John Balfe is to possess himself of the aforesaid deeds of annuity and Bonds of Daniel Kelly of Cowins and also Henry Blake of Lahinches and Policie of Insurance as his sole Properties I Will and bequeath unto Christr Balfe now at Heathfield my Brother the Sum of five hundred pounds and do also will and bequeath unto James Balfe my brother the Sum of five hundred pounds both Sums to be paid by my Brother John Balfe and it is my Will that Mary King the second daughter of Joseph King of Winchbomb in Gloucestershire shall be entitled to receive the Sum of forty pounds British annually to be paid to her by my Brother John Balfe quarterly during her natural life provided she returns to her parents to reside and conduct herself correctly if not she is not to be entitled to receive any part whatsoever and all the Rest of my Property of what nature or kindsoever I will devise and bequeath unto my Brother John Balfe and appoint him my Residuary Legatee In Witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name and affixed my Seal this sixteenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and Eighteen Richd Balfe (Attestation Clause) Terence Carly _ Bernard McGarry Proved at London 30 September 1830 PCC Prob11/1637
