FORTLAND ESTATE, comprises of the lands of FORTLAND, KILMAKIRKAN, SHRAHEENS, ONEYKEEVANE, BALLINAHOWNA and other lands, situate in the Barony of Tyreragh, Co Sligo, held in Fee. It included the Mansion House and Demesne Lands of FORTLAND. There is some fine old timber in the demesne. The house and offices are in good repair and has an excellent fruit and vegetable garden attached. The demesne and pleasure grounds are tastefully planted and the Easkey River runs through them. There is a Salmon Fishery within a short distance of the Mansion. The shores of Shraheens and Bunnowna afford ample supplies of Sea-weed for manure. SHRAHEENS, BUNOWNA, ADERAVOHER and KADEWS lie in the immediate locality of Easkey. The land is of excellent quality.
