Will: Barry, Thomas January 25, 1821 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Tipperary Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com December 9, 2017, 2:18 pm BARRY, THOMAS JANUARY 25, 1821 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: January 25, 1821 Recorded: December 9, 2017 Extracted from the Register of the Consistorial Court of Waterford Whereas I Thomas Barry of Clonmell in the County of Tipperary but now residing in the Island of Trinity in Newfoundland have made and published my last Will and Testament in writing in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen now I the said Thomas Barry by this Codicil conform and ratify my last Will and Testament and every devise and bequest therein contained and I the said Thomas Barry do by this my last Codicil which I direct shall be deemed esteemed and taken as my last Will and Testament give devise and bequeath unto the Right Reverend father the Catholic Bishop of Waterford the sum of twenty pounds for saying for me twenty four Masses after my decease to be paid by Mr George Garland of Pool England Item I give devise and bequeath unto the Parish Priest of Clonmell the sum of ten pounds for saying for me twenty four Masses after my decease to be paid him by Mr George Garland of Pool England and to be appropriated to their use for that purpose and for the remainder and residue of my money and monies not heretofore given or devised in the possession of the said Mr George Garland of Pool England I now give devise and bequeath in three parts of shares in manner and form following first I give devise & bequeath unto Mary Reardon the Daughter of Cath & Francis Reardon one part or share & I also give devise & bequeath to Elenor Joice the Daughter of Elizabeth & Edmond Joice a second part or share & lastly I give devise & bequeath unto James Coggan of the County of Waterford the remaining part or share to be paid by the said Mr George Garland of Pool England to each share and share alike & I hereby direct and order that this present Codicil or paper writing shall be deemed and taken as my last Will & testament In Witness whereof I the said Thos Barry have to this my Codicil or paper writing set my hand & Seal this twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one Thomas Barry X his mark (Attestation Clause) Saml Aug Gent ¬ Thomas les Sillgreen We do hereby certify that the above Codicil to the Will of Thomas Barry was executed in our presence with all due formality required by Law George Skelton _ John Bingley Garland Justices of the Peace for the District of Trinity in the Island of Newfoundland a true Copy so I attest Robert Sharpe Dep Registrar (Personal Appearance by George Garland the younger of the Town and County of Poole Gentleman 25 March 1822) 30 April 1822 Administration with Will annexed to Mary Saint John Wife of William Saint John formerly Mary Reardon Spinster and Ellen Connell Wife of James Connell formerly Ellen Joyce Legatees named in the Codicil PCC Prob11/1655
