FOGURTY, WILLIAM SEPTEMBER 7, 1665

In the Name of God Amen I William Fogurty of the Parish of 
Ensiosgurty in the Countie of Tipparie in Ireland Doctor of 
Physicke being in pfect health and of pfect memorie (prayse 
be to God) doe by these psents declare this my last will and 
testament first I bequeath my Soule to my Saviour Jesus 
Christ my body to be buried in some holly Catholicke ground 
I bequeath one hundred pound upon the poorest Churchmen 
seculers or relligious if shall appeare soe to my Cossens 
Crogher Fogurty in Inlenghlin of Ensiosgurtie ......... & 
Brien Birraghie...........another hundred pound upon the 
poorest laytie as shall appeare soe to my saide Cossens both 
the two hundred pounds to be distributed and divided amongst 
the clergie and laytie as my said cossens shall Judge more 
Charitable and their prayers more efficacious I bequeath my 
interest in the Lease of.... and my mares with their .... 
Upon Mrs Ellen Yarrell of Luoghmoy in Consideration of what 
slanders and Aspertions were Cast upon her for me I do 
further express (?) and declare to the world that I never 
knew her carnally for a wife and that my opinion of her is 
to be a distressed vertuous gentlewoman I doe bequeath my 
interest in the lott of Fitchmond with the adjacent parcells 
upon the next heire male of my eldest brother and soe 
lineally upon his heires for ever and for want of such 
heires male in that line to the next heire male of the 
second and right line and soe still for want of such heires 
male in one line to come to the next and right heires male 
of the name soe that I leave noe power to any of the to sell 
or alienate it from the right heire of the name nor ever to 
Charge it above a hundred pound I Doe allsoe enjoyne them or 
any of them to consider the proprietors as my my said 
Coossens shall think fitt I bequeath twentie pound a peece 
to each of the poorest and neerest of my relation as farr as 
specialltyes and payes can go for my meaning is that the 
surest money should be payed to the Clergie and the poore 
the remainder in money and pays for my relation I leave 
Doctor Creagh twentie pounds as owne of my relation I doe 
appointe and ordaine my said Coossens Crogher Fogurty and 
Brien Birragzie lawfull executors of this my last will and 
testament In wittness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand 
and Seale the 7th of September 1665 William Fogurty Being 
psent at Signinge sealing hereof James Butler _ Paule

17 July 1680 Administration with will annexed to Roger and 
Philip Fogurty Nephews to William Fogurty of Enseiogurty in 
the County of Tipperary but late of Newgate Prison London
