Will: Kearney, Patrick October 23, 1785 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Tipperary Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com October 21, 2017, 4:30 am KEARNEY, PATRICK OCTOBER 23, 1785 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: October 23, 1785 Recorded: October 21, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Patrick Kearney of the Town of Clonmall in the County of Tipperary at present a Patient in the Naval Hospital at Barbadoes being in bodily health and of sound and disposing Mind and Memory and considering the Perils and Dangers of the Seas and other uncertainties of this transitory life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say ffirst I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order and as for and concerning all my Worldly Estate I bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say to my loving Wife Honor Kearney and to my Son John Kearney I give and bequeath to them and their Heirs for ever all such Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be in any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I do give devise and bequeath the same unto them to be equally divided and I do hereby nominate and appoint my Wife Honor Kearney to be my Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made and I do ordain and ratify these Presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my hand and Seal the twenty third day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five and in the twenty fourth Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the third over Great Britain etc Patk Kearney Signed sealed published and declared and where no stamp'd paper could be in the presence of Lawren Dagan The Mark of X John Tomlin 15 October 1789 Administration with Will annexed of Goods Credits and Chattels of Patrick Kearney late of HM Ship Falcon in the Pay of the Royal Navy to Thomas Fothergill lawful attorney of Honor Kearney PCC Prob11/1184
