Will: McEvoy, John March 21, 1818 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Tipperary Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com April 14, 2018, 10:32 am MCEVOY, JOHN MARCH 21, 1818 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: March 21, 1818 Recorded: April 14, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I John McEvoy of Caher being of perfect mind and memory do hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following first I will that my Body be decently interred in the Church Yard of Caher and that my executors hereafter named do pay the expences attending same Second I will and bequeath unto my only Brother William McEvoy at Mr Lees Baker Hammond Lane Church Street Dublin my small writing Desk with all the Property it contains my Gold Watch Chain ...... and my wearing Apparel together with what appears due to me of the Right Honble Earle of Glengall as will be seen by Mr Nicholas Chaytor's Books after paying the Sums hereafter bequeathed by me Third I will and desire that in the event of my Brother's not being living that the two Annuity Bills which have been endorsed by me be given to Mrs Johanna Skinner Mr Wells Cottage Brumley Kent fourth I will and bequeath all the remaining part of my Property to the Reverend John Power Parish Priest of Caher to dispose of the same as I may direct in the Event aforesaid of my Brother's not being living fifth I will that the Sum of Ten Guineas be given to the Reverend John Power aforesaid and to the Reverend Patrick McGrath his coadjutor for their own use exclusively and also twenty Pounds to be disposed of agreeable to the manner I have directed Sixth I will and bequeath to Thomas Lonergan of Caher five Guineas for his care and attention to me during my illness Seventh I will and bequeath to my Brother in the Event of his being living as aforesaid all the rest residue and remainder of my Property real and personal after paying all my bequests Eighth I will and bequeath that in the event of Mrs Johanna Skinner's not being living as well as my Brother that all my Property of every nature whatever be given to the Reverend John Power and the Reverend Patrick McGrath aforesaid they paying the different Sums bequeath by me to dispose of the same as I shall direct them Ninth I will and bequeath unto Mrs Mary Kennedy at the Honble Richard Hans Conwaymore the Sum of twenty Pounds for her attention to me in a former illness to be paid by my Executors hereafter named Lastly I constitute nominate and appoint my Brother and Edmond O Mara of the Town of Caher aforesaid my Executors hereby revoking all former Wills be me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and affixed my Seal this 21st day of March One thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen John McEvoy in Presence of Thomas Lonergan _ Andrew Ladley Proved at London 26 May 1818 PCC Prob11/1604
