On this night a man named JOHN LACY was waylaid and seriously wounded with stones at Coolacassane, Parish of Kilpatrick, Barony of Kilnemanagh, by SAMUEL KEARNEY and several others, who are known. The reason assigned is that these people keep unlicensed Public Houses, and it is supposed that some licensed Publicans in the neighbourhood got the party to threaten them. 19th Nov. On this night, about 12’30, the house of MARY ROACHE, of Rathsassard, Parish of Tipperary, Barony of Clanwilliam, was maliciously set on fire by some persons unknown.
