PROCLAMATIONS 1661-1827

1661.

Proclamation for apprehending ? HALSEY and Walter BUTLER for 
committing many barbarous and horrid crimes in the Counties 
of Waterford and Tipperary.

1685.

Proclamation declaring Richard POWER of Ballintotly, Co. 
Tipperary, to be a rebel and traitor.

1727

The like for discovering and apprehending the persons who 
broke into the house of the Rev. Mr. Peter HICKS of Lisduff, 
Co. Tipperary, robbed him, and murdered his son William 
HICKS.

1735

The like for discovering and apprehending the persons 
concerned in the traitorous murder of Thomas HUTCHINSON, 
late of Sliveire, Co. Tipperary.

1736

The like against the persons concerned in the Murder of 
Lieut. John Hume of Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.

1753

The like against the persons therein named for carrying away 
by force Susanna Grove of Tipperary Town, Spinster.

1763

The like against the persons who set fire to the Dwelling 
House, Offices, Corn, Etc., of Ulysses NORTH and Lyons CANE 
of Derry, Co. Tipperary.

1765.

The like for apprehending Nicholas Sheehy, Popish Priest, of 
Shanrahan, Co. Tipperary, for High Treason and Rebellion.

1769 Proclamation against the persons therein named for 
forcibly carrying away Mary MILLET, only daughter of John 
MILLET, of Knockura, in the County of Tipperary.

Proclamation against a number of Whiteboys for the murder of 
James Fanning, of Carrick, Co. Tipperary, Carrier.

1774 The like against the a great number of rioters, called 
White Boys, who cut out the tongue of Thomas NEWCOMON, of 
Carrick, Co. Tipperary.

The like against a number of Whiteboys, for the murder of 
Ambrose POWER, of Barretstown, Co. Tipperary.

1781 The like for apprehending the persons named therein, 
who were concerned in the murder of Francis SCULLION, of 
Carrick-on-Suir, in the County of Tipperary, a Bailiff 
authorized by the Sheriff of Waterford to assist the 
pursuivant of the High Court of Chancery in the execution of 
an attachment against Mary POWER, of Clonkeard, in the said 
County of Waterford.

1782

Proclamation for apprehending the persons who houghed the 
sheep and cows, and set fire to the offices of Andrew HELY, 
of Tullow, in the County of Tipperary.

1785

The like for apprehending Richard ENGLISH and several others 
charged with being guilty of several murders and felonies in 
the County of Tipperary.

1786 Proclamation for apprehending and prosecuting to 
conviction the persons concerned in the felony and 
assaulting the Rev. Wm. RYAN of Mullinola, in the County of 
Tipperary. Clerk.

The like for apprehending the persons concerned in 
feloniously and burglariously breaking open and robbing the 
house of William LEESON, of Belingbrooke, in the County of 
Tipperary.

1789

The like for discovering and apprehending the persons 
concerned in setting fire to the dwelling house and offices 
of the Rev. Richard LLOYD, at Ballagh, in the County of 
Tipperary.

1800

Like for discovering the person who murdered Alexander 
Mollison, Steward to Lord Cahir, near the  town of Cahir.

Like for discovering the persons who set fire to the stores 
if James BYRNE and Sheppard TRENCH, of Carrick-on-Suir, Co. 
Tipperary.

1801

Proclamation for apprehending the persons concerned in the 
murder of William PRICE, of Coolrain, in the County of 
Tipperary.

1821

The like offering a reward of £2000 for the discovery and 
apprehension of the persons concerned in setting fire to the 
house of Edmond SHEA, at Tubber, Co. Tipperary.

1827.

The like offering a reward of £2000 for the apprehension of 
the murderers of Daniel MARA, in County Tipperary.
