Tyrone - McDonough, Michael December 30, 1851 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Tyrone Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 3, 2017, 8:35 am MCDONOUGH, MICHAEL DECEMBER 30, 1851 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: December 30, 1851 Recorded: September 3, 2017 Extracted from the Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Prerogative in Ireland In the Name of God Amen I Micheal McDonough of Tateraconaghty in the parish of Cappagh Farmer being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and perfect memory Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following viz first I bequeath my soul to God who gave it to me in hopes of pardon through a merciful Saviour Secondly as to my worldly property I dispose of as follows After paying all my just debts I allow and bequeath to my son John McDonough my houses and farm goods and chattels where I reside in the Town of Tateraconaghty in a clear and ample manner together with the sum of seven hundred pounds sterling which I have in the Bank of England I also will and bequeath to my lawful daughter Eliza McDonagh the sum of two hundred pounds sterling subject to the advice of my Executors in disposing of herself in marriage And I also allow her ten pounds a year during the period she may remain in the house with her brother or until she is married I bequeath to my daughter Saragh the sum of one shilling as my son John being a minor at present I deem it more prudent to allow him only the sum of ten pounds yearly until he arrives at full age twenty one years and to this Will I appoint the Reverend Thomas Taggart Catholick Curate of Cappagh and Charles Donnelly of Termuraty to be my Executors and to see my last wishes fairly executed and I also allow all manner of business and transactions of dealings hereafter to be done or performed by my son John and also my daughter Eliza to be done by the advise of my Executors and I now publish and pronounce this to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills made heretofore by me whereunto I now affix my name and seal this 30th day of December in the year of our Lord 1851 one in the presence of M McDonagh _ James Todd _ Felix McNabb _ Charles Gallagher Prerogative In the Goods of Michael McDonagh late of Tateraconaghty in the County Tyrone Farmer deceased Charles Gallagher of Tateraconaghty in the County Tyrone Farm Labourer Maketh oath and saith that he is one of the subscribing witnesses to the will (hereto annexed) of the above named Michael McDonagh deceased and Saith that said deceased executed said Will on the day the same bears date by writing his name opposite to the seal at the foot thereof in the presence of this deponent and other two persons whose names appear subscribed thereto as witnesses who were all then present together and saith that this deponent and the other subscribing witnesses to said Will then signed their names thereto as such the presence of the deceased and of each other at one and the same time as by law required and deponent further saith that he is in no way personally interested in establishing the said Will as the last Will and Testament of the deceased Charles Gallagher Sworn this 26th day of June 1851 before me W S Cuthbert Curate of Cappagh Proved to Reverend Thomas Taggart of Mullaghmore Roman Catholic Clergyman and Charles Donnelly of Termuraty Farmer both near Omagh in said County 29 April 1852 Proved at London 9 July 1852 PCC Prob11/2156
