Waterford - Kennedy, James October 21, 1800 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Waterford Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com December 21, 2019, 2:37 pm KENNEDY, JAMES OCTOBER 21, 1800 Source: National Archives London Written: October 21, 1800 Recorded: December 21, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I James Kennedy Seaman belonging to his Majestys Ship St Albans being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind and Memory and considering the dangers and other uncertainties of this transitory Life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I commend my Soul to God who gave it and my Body I commit to the Earth And as for and concerning All my Worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) Prize Money Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I do give devise and bequeath unto my Wife Esther Kennedy and my Daughter Bridget Kennedy both of the Passage of Waterford to be equally divided between them except the Sum of Five Pounds which I give unto my Uncle Patrick Kennedy And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Executrix and my Friend Mr James Griffin (of the Passage of Waterford aforesaid) Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gifts by me at any time heretofore made And I do ordain and ratify these Presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand and Seal the twenty first day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and in the fortieth Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the Third over Great Britain etc. James Kennedy Signed sealed Published and declared in the presence of Jno Halliburton Surgeon and Agent_ Rt Hume Dispenser _ Jas Proud Clerk Proved at London 4 September 1803 by the oath of Esther Kennedy Widow power reserved to other Executor PCC Prob11/1380
