Waterford - Power, Peter August 7, 1746 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Waterford Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com February 3, 2019, 3:28 am POWER, PETER AUGUST 7, 1746 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: August 7, 1746 Recorded: February 3, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I Peter Power Seaman on board of his Majestys Ship Harwich being in Bodily health and of sound disposing Mind and Memory and considering the Perils and Danger of the Seas and other uncertaintys of this of this Transitory Life Do for avoiding Controversys after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) first I recommend mySoul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order and as for and concerning all my Worldly Estate I give and bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) all such Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I do give devise and bequeath the same unto my Mother Eleanor Power and Sister Mary Beach living at the Passage of Waterford in the Kingdom of Ireland and I do hereby nominate and appoint Walter Fleahey seaman on board the said Ship Harwich sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made and I do ordain and ratify these Presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament in Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my hand and Seal the seventh Day of August One thousand seven hundred and forty six and in the Nineteenth Year of his Majesty King George the Second over Great Britain Peter Power Signed Sealed Published and Declared in the Presence of us Chas Rhodes Boatswain John Cheynee No Stamp Paper to be had at the time of this being made Proved at London 15 May 1750 PCC Prob11/779 Note: It is possible the name Fleahey is Leahey and was mis-undertood.
