Waterford - Sheil, Eliza McCarthy August 26, 1851 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Waterford Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com January 25, 2019, 4:58 pm SHEIL, ELIZA MCCARTHY AUGUST 26, 1851 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: August 26, 1851 Recorded: January 25, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I Eliza McCarthy Sheil of St Marys in the County of Waterford Spinster being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following I request my debts which are found to be justly due shall be paid I give devise and bequeath to my sister Maria Sheil her heirs and assigns All that the lands of Cluen otherwise called Clonfinglas in the County of Tipperary and also the Tithes and Tithes rent charge which I have out of the parish of Cordge & Kilshane or elsewhere in said County for the residue of the terms for which the same are held by me and also the trees bequeathed to me by my Uncle I direct my executrix to pay to my kind and faithful Servant Catharine Grant the sum of one hundred pounds sterling free of legacy duty I leave to my Sister Catharine Sheil the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds St & It is also my wish that my executrix shall expend one hundred pounds in Charity according to her own discretion All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my property of every kind and nature whatever whether real or personal in the funds or wherever else in the funds or wherever else invested I give devise and bequeath to my sister Maria Sheil her executors and administrators upon trust nevertheless and for the following intents and purposes that is to say In trust to pay the annual interest and proceeds thereof yearly and every year unto my Sister Emily O'Brien during her natural life upon her sole and separate receipts notwithstanding her coverture free from the control or engagements of her husband and after the decease of the said Emily O'Brien to the use of such persons as the said Emily O'Brien should by a Will or writing Testamentary to be by her made during her lifetime notwithstanding her coverture direct and appoint and in default of such direction or appointment then to the said Maria Sheil and her assigns for ever as her & their own goods & chattels absolutely and I hereby appoint my sister Maria Sheil to be my sole Executrix of this my Will which I hereby publish and declare as such this twenty sixth day of August one thousand eight hundred and fifty one Eliza McCarthy Sheil (Attestation Clause) Richard Lewis _ Arthur Smith Proved to Maria Sheil of No 4 Perry Square of the City of Limerick Spinster 7 September 1851 Proved at London 6 October 1851 PCC Prob11/2141
