Will: Scully, Michael June 11, 1828 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Westmeath Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com December 28, 2017, 11:19 am SCULLY, MICHAEL JUNE 11, 1828 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: June 11, 1828 Recorded: December 28, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Michl Scully of Glomerstown being weak of body but of perfect sound mind & memory and knowing the uncertainty of this life and hoping for Salvation thro' a merciful God do make this my last will and testament revoking all former wills heretofore made by me first I bequeath my soul to the living God and my body to be intered in the family burying place at Kilmackowin in a decent Christian like manner I also order my just & lawful debts my funeral expences to be paid out of my property and after I order to my only lawful and beloved son now living Peter Scully all and singular every property whether freehold or else I am possessed off together with the entire of my stock of Cattle Sheep Horses Piggs & furniture & farming utensils he paying the following legacies I order unto my daur Catherine Scully now unmarried aged about 15 years the sum of thirty pounds sterling as marriage portion provided she acts and marrys with the consent of the above named Peter Scully and my other Executor otherwise I order she shall get but five shillings and that she shall live with the said Peter Scully until she is married or otherwise disposed of as he may think fitt when she is off age and that in case she dies unmarried let it be understood the thirty pounds above are to be Peter Scully's I order unto my two daughters Mary Hicky otherwise Scully and Margaret O'Donnell otherwise Scully and their husbands John Hicky and Patt: O'Donnell who have taken my advice and having already given them what I could afford it is my wish as a mark of my gratitude should they ever demand it that my son Peter Scully should give them 50 shillings each but as for a daughter of mine named Bridget Scully otherwise Dellon who married and done every thing against my wish or consent I order her & her husband should they ever return to this Kingdom that they shall not get any maintenance from any of my heirs or get none of my substance or effects than five shillings each I appoint nominate constitute and select as my chosen Executors to this my last will & testament the above named Peter Scully as my sole acting executor in conjunction with Mr Thos Glennon of Kelly Brook given under my hand & seal this 11th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty eight Michael Scully his mark Present Abram Johnston _ Bryan Kenan _ Thos Glennon _ Thos Bateman Proved at London 6 December 1831 PCC Prob11/1793
