transcription for this cemetery from 'Memorials of the Dead', was used to
help in the reading and transcribing of the headstone
below. Permission was kindly given by his son Ian Cantwell.

| Burgess of Glasgow and | Rector of this Parish for 25
years | born at Ross on 4th day of March 1798 | He died at
the Rectory on the 1st April 1875 | And of MARY ALEXANDER
his wife | Daughter of the Revd WELDON JOHN MOLONY | born
at Athy on the 20th day of December 1801 | she died at the
Rectory on the 1?th day of May 1868.

daughter of | WILLIAM MUSSENDEN | of Larchfield in the
County of Down Esq | and departed this life on the 3rd day
of June | 1836 aged 7? Years | On the left side of this
tomb the | mortal remains of the above | Rev RICHARD BEVAN
A.M. | are buried he was a native of the County Cavan | and
came to the Curacy of the Parish of Killinick - this under
the | Rev BENJAMIN ADAMS in | November 1781 which he served
| for 17 years. He was promoted | to this Parish in
September 1798 | He built the Glebe House and offices 1802
| where he lived from 1805 till | His death which took
place on | 23rd day of May 184? | in the 84th year of his
age.
