August 1st. THE FOLLOWING SURVEY OF THE TOWNLANDS IN TEMPLETOWN PARISH, was made by Richard and Charles Frizell, for the Right Honble. Henry Lord Viscount Loftus of Ely. Thomas Broathers, Aldridge. 54 acres. This farm is in a state of nature and wants improvement. Richard Frizell, Ballyrowane, 137 acres. This is a cold spewy far. Thomas Broathers, Balinphoile, 103 acres plus 7 acres of sand and bog. Widow Lewis, Part of Templetown called Cors. 71 acres. Is a most commodious profitable little farm and has a good house on it. John Lynne, Esq. Templetown, Upper Quarter. 235 acres. Mr. Sutton Frizell, Church Quarter, 103 acres. This is a very pleasant profitable farm and would be an agreeable situation to build upon, has a Mill- stone Quarry on it, the value not known. The Mill has gone to ruin and the Orchard seems to be in a state of decay. Thomas Chapman, Great Graiges, 204 acres. This is a good farm, has a good slated house on it, but the land wants much improvement. Executors of Patrick Furlong, Part Little Graiges. 106 acres. It is a good farm, has a good farm house on it, and it may be much improved with lime. Lawrence Devereux, Part Little Graiges. 66 acres. This farm is very thin and cold, has been greatly improved by the present tenant by lime. Phelix Neale, Part Hagart. 90 acres.. This is very thin cold ground, but has a farm house on it. Richard Frizell, Part Hagart. 88 acres. This is very thin cold ground. Reps of Doct. Fogarty. Killclogan. 188 acres. This is a good farm and a very pleasant situation, and has an old slated house on it. Reps of Doct. Fogarty. Wood, part, Killclogan. 5 acres. This part of the wood is a piece of Moor. Richard Frizell, Killclogan, under Sally Scrub. 4 acres. Scrubby small hazel, and has no value except for graizing, the rest of the wood is greatly on the decay and worth about £100. *Henry Houghton, Broomhill, The Sheep Walk, 141 acres. Henry Houghton, Broomhill, Dairy Quarter, 77 acres. Henry Houghton, Broomhill, Firzy Hill. 2 acres. Henry Houghton, Broomhill, Mount Pleasant, 4 acre. This is a very rich, profitable farm, finely improved and laid down and is fit for any purpose.* Laurence Barry, Lewistown, 129 acres. This farm is naturally good but wants improvement. Thos. Broathers, Boley. 124 acres. This farm is in the hands of Priest Broather’s Cottiers, and is much abused and in great want of improvement. Thomas Broathers, Knockaneduff, 60 acres. Priest Broathers lives on this farm, it is cold ground but may be improved. George Tegart, Haytown, 29 acres. All this farm is very cold, wet, barren Ground. *Ex. Of Pat Donoghoe, 93 acres.
