Will: Finley, William August 19, 1763 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Wicklow Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com February 25, 2018, 5:10 pm FINLEY, WILLIAM AUGUST 19, 1763 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: August 19, 1763 Recorded: February 25, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I William Finley of Donard in the County of Wicklow Gent being indisposed in health but of sound Mind and Memory thanks be to God for the same do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I Give my soul to Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter mentioned Whereas I am entitled to the sum of one thousand Pounds a Legacy left me by my son Richard Finley Merchant in Bengal deceased and as to what other Worldly substance it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose of the same in manner following first paying my just Debts and funeral Expences first I Give and bequeath to my Nephew Richard Tegart the sum of One hundred Pounds and unto each of his Children William Elizabeth and Mary Tegart the sum of twenty Pounds each to be Paid at their respective Age of twenty one Years And in case any of them die before the arrive at the Age of twenty one then the survivor shall be entitled to his Legacy of twenty Pounds to be put out to Interest at the discretion of my Trustees I leave and bequeath to my Nephew George Tegart the sum of One hundred Pounds and to Jane Earl Wife of William Earl otherwise Tegart the sum of One hundred Pounds I leave to my Neice Mary Wigins otherwise Finley of William Street in the City of Dublin the Sum of One hundred Pounds I leave to Mary Handley late Servant of Charles Frizel of Askamore in the County of Wexford the Sum of One hundred Pounds I leave to my well beloved friend George Moore of the Excise Office Old Jewry London the Sum of fifty Pounds I leave to my well beloved cousin Wentworth Holland the sum of twenty pounds I leave to my well beloved Cousin Esther Dibous the sum of twenty pounds I leave unto Esther Dibous's two sons James and Alexander Adkins the um of twenty pounds each and in case either of them shall die before he arrives at the age of twenty one the survivor to be entitled to his Legacy of twenty Pounds I leave unto my cousin Ann Smyth the sum of ten pounds to her son Thomas Armstrong ten pounds I leave unto Mary Dobs Wife of ---- Dobs of Killtelahane the sum of ten pounds I leave unto my cousin Richard Finley of Donard in the County of Wicklow the sum of one hundred Pounds I leave unto my cousin Richard Finley of Coole money the sum of ten pounds I leave unto the Children of the said John Finley (to wit) John William and Elizabeth Finley the sum of twenty pounds each to be paid them at their respective ages of twenty one to be putt out at Interest for them at the discretion of my Trustees and as to all the Rest and Residue and Remainder of all my Worldly Substance I Give and bequeath unto my Cousin Richard Finley of Donard in the County of Wicklow and I do hereby appoint the said Richard and John Finley Executors of this my last Will and Testament confirming and allowing this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Nineteenth day of August in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and sixty three I appoint Mr Thomas Heighinton of Donard in the County of Wicklow Gent and Mr George Fenton of Knockanaragan Gent to be Trustees of this my above Will Wm Finley (Attestation Clause) Thos Heighington _ Jewell Wetherell _ John William Wetherell Proved at London 15 January 1766 PCC Prob11/915
