THOMAS KING - 1811

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas KING of 
Kingston in the county of Wicklow Esq 
.... and bequeath unto 
my Lovely wife Mary Anne KING my interest in a dwelling 
house in South King Street in the City of Dublin to be 
disposed of by her in any manner she may think fit. I also 
leave and bequeath unto my said dear wife an annuity of one 
hundred guineas to be paid to her and her assings quarterly 
that is to say on every twenty fifth day of March, twenty 
fifth day of June, twenty fifth day of September and twenty 
fifth day of December in every year during her maternal life 
the first payment thereof to be made on such of said days as 
shall, next happen after my decease and to be charged and 
chargeable upon my and (payable) out of all and every of my 
lands and tenements herein after mentioned. And in the case 
of non payment thereof an any of the days aforesaid with 
full power of my said wife assigns to enter in said lands 
and to distain for same,  and the (Disrips) (thousand) 
(char) and to sell and dispose of said annuity and all 
(arrears) there of and all (Repence) attending the same as 
in such like case is usual False that a sum of fifty guineas 
shall be immediately paid to my said dear wife  after my 
decease .............. bequeath and my to (Thomas) the 
reverend Thomas (BROWNSIGG) and the reverend El......

Of Freehold and leasehold of what nature kindsoever where I 
shall die proposed that is to say my estate and interest in 
the land of Ballynaelesh held by me for the Earl of Meath my 
estate and interest in the lands of KINGSTON with its 
(subdenomination) held by me from all .... My ... ... part 
of the lands of (Shuaghmover) from the Representations of 
the late Arch (KINGSTON) T...... Esq. my interest in the 
lands of upper KINGSTON held by .... from Mr SALKELD and 
also my estate and the lands of (ThelWells) held from the 
Earl of Meath with all and singular the rights members 
apprentices there unto belonging several uses , intents 
trustees and purposes herein after mentioned (expirefid) and 
declared and no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever that 
is to say in trust in the first place to permit and suffer 
Daniel MILLS of the city of Dublin, Doctor in Medicine and 
his assigns to have, hold and enjoy all and singular my said 
lands and tenements with the (appistess) during his natural 
life without impecament of waste and from and after the 
determination of that said estate then to the use and school 
of the said Thomas BROWNRIGG and Edward BAYLY and the 
survivor of them and his heirs. In trust to prevent the 
contingent remainders hereafter mentioned from being 
defeated and destroyed and for that purpose to and to make 
as decision may require. But nevertheless to permit and 
suffer the said Daniel Mills to have, to receive and to take 
the rents issues and profits there of during his natural 
life and from and after his decease to permit and suffer my 
godson Thomas King MILLS the son of the said Daniel MILLS in 
like manner. To have, hold and enjoy my said lands and 
tenements during his natural life and from and after the 
determination of that estate to the use and to the school of 
the said Thomas BROWNRIGG and Edward BAYLY and the survivor 
of them and their heirs.

 In trust to prevent contingent remainders from being 
defeated and destroyed and for that purpose to make (kosed) 
as entries as being actions occasion may require but 
nevertheless to permit the said Thomas King MILLS and his 
assigns to have and receive the rents issues and profits 
thereof during his natural life and from and after his 
decease. In Trust to permit and suffer the first and every 
other son and sons of the said Thomas King MILLS lawfully 
begotten according to seniority of age and priority of birth 
to have hold and enjoy all and singular said lands and 
promises of attaining the age of twenty one years and in 
case there shall be no such son of the said Thomas King 
MILLS, then in trust to permit and suffer Joseph MILLS 
eldest son of the said Daniel MILLS to have and crying any 
said lands and tenements during his natural life and from 
and after the determination of that estate. 

To the use and school of the said Thomas BROWWIGG and Edward 
BAYLY and the survivor of them and their heirs. In trust to 
(prevail) contingent remainders from being defeated and 
destroyed and for this pauper to make entries and being 
actions in occasion may require. But nevertheless to permit 
the said Joseph MILLS to have and receive the rents and 
profits thereof during his contingent remainder from being 
defeated and destroyed and and their prepare to make entries 
and being actions in occasions may require. But nevertheless 
to permit the said Joseph MILLS to have and receive the 
rents and profits from during his natural life and from and 
his decease to permit and suffer the (first and every other 
son) and sons of the said Joseph MILLS lawfully begotten 
according to seniority of age and priority of birth on 
attaining the age of twenty one years. To have, hold and 
enjoy all and singular land and tenements and for ...... and 
for sue male .... Joseph MILLS. Then in Trust (o found) 
Daniel Mills and son of the said Daniel MILLS the eldest in 
like manner to have, hold and enjoy my said lands and 
tenements during his natural life and from and after the 
declaration of that estate to the use and behalf of the said 
Thomas BROWNRIGG and Edward BAYLY and the survivor of them 
and their heirs. In trust to prevent contingent remainder 
from being Defeated and destroyed and for that purpose to 
make entries and bring actions as occasion may require. 

But nevertheless to permit and suffer the said Daniel MILLS 
the younger to have and and receive the rents issues and 
profits... for during his natural life and from and after 
his decease. In Trust to permit and suffer the first and 
every other son and sons of said Daniel MILLS the younger 
lawfully begotten according to seniority of age and priority 
of birth and attaining the age of twenty one years. To have, 
hold and enjoy and singular said lands and premises 
aforementioned (servant) of such ..... of said Daniel MILLS 
the younger. Then in trust to permit and suffer John MILLS 
Fourth Son of the said Daniel MILLS the elder in like 
manner. To have, hold and enjoy my said lands and tenements 
during his natural life and from and after the determination 
of that said estate to the use and behold of the said Thomas 
Bownnigg, Edward Bayly and the survivors of them and his 
heirs in trust to prevent contingent remainder from being 
defeated and destroyed and for that purposes to make entries 
and bring actions as ... my require. 

But nevertheless to permit the said John MILLS to have and 
receive the rents and profits thereof during his natural 
life and from and after the decease. In trust to permit and 
suffer the last and every other son and sons of the said 
John Mills lawfully begotten according to seniority of age 
and priority of birth on attaining the age of twenty one 
years. To have, hold and enjoy all in singular said lands, 
premises and (servants) of such ... males of the said John 
MILLS. Then in a trust to permit and suffer any other sons a 
son which the said Daniel MILLS may have after by his 
present in any after taken wife and his and their heirs a 
male lawfully begotten on attaining the age of twenty one 
years to have, hold and enjoy the said lands and premises 
the elder of such son and sons and his heirs. Male always to 
be preferred and to take before the younger and in the case 
of failure of such a male executed diced and appoint. And it 
is my ..... will and issue that the said Daniel MILLS and 
all of such other person or persons as shall at any time 
hereafter (profesefs) and enjoy my said lands and premises 
shall immediately upon their beaming ... thereto take and 
assume the surname of King and shall not many pretence 
whatever sells letter the wise dispose of the house and 
lands of KINGSTON. But shall continue to occupy and and 
retain same in his or there profession, or in default 
thereof I do tried that my estate and .. .... Said lands and 
premises shall from thence for the go to and be absolutely 
vested in the person not (insisted) thereto under this my 
will and my will and meaning is that succeeding the sum of 
three lives as thirty one years at the best and most 
improved and that can be gotten without taking any fine 
acquittal for same a ... also that the said Daniel MILLS 
shall be (onfiairnate) to make any settlement and decreating 
one hundred pounds of annum and of the said land and 
tenements upon present on any wife he may bequeath and 
take. 

I leave and bequeath onto Mecham TATE one hundred pounds as 
a token of my regard for him, I leave and bequeath onto my 
nephew George BURY one crown having already provided for 
him. I leave and bequeath unto my Trustees the sum of one 
Thousand pounds. In trust for my niece Hester A ARCHER wife 
of Joseph ARCHER Captain in the Wicklow Militia to be placed 
by them out of interest in government or other sufficient 
security and the interest there of from time to time to pay 
to the said Hester a ARCHER during her natural life upon her 
sole and separate receipt without the the confound of her 
said husband notwithstanding her covertures and from and 
after her decease to pay said principle sum to her daughter 
upon her attaining age or day of marriage, but in case she 
shall marry in the lifetime of said Hester A ARCHER and with 
having consent and that of my said trustees, Then I do in 
such case decree my said trustees, to pay over five hundred 
pounds part of said one thousand pounds as a marriage 
portion with her I leave and bequeath upon the Rev Henry 
Lambert BAYLY fifty pounds as a mark of my esteem for him. I 
leave and bequeath unto my friend William Mae MURRAY fifty 
pounds as a small token of his attention to me over and 
above any account. I may once him at my because I leave and 
bequeath unto his wife Mary Mae MURRAY fifty pounds to be 
paid to her on her separate receipt for her sole and only 
use.

I leave and bequeath onto Thomas MANNING of the meetings 
hundred guineas. I leave and bequeath onto his daughter Lucy 
MANNING fifty pounds.

I leave and bequeath onto Sibella SUTTON fifty pounds. I 
leave and bequeath onto Thomas LAVINS as a testimony of his 
loyalty and attachment to me Twenty pounds. I leave and 
bequeath onto my servants one years wages over what I may 
owe them, together with ten guineas additional and my 
weaving apparel unto James BURY and twenty guineas to Rose 
TIMBULL I discreet that such of my labourers as being in my 
employ for one year past shall be allowed half a years rent 
and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my housed 
lands, tenements, flock of Cuttle cows and hay implements of 
(Lisbrandy) money and securities for money together with my 
share in the Leus Mine, furniture plate, goods chattels and 
effects of what nature or kindsoever whatsoever or 
wheresoever's I do hereby give, devise, leave and bequeath 
the same and every part thereof unto the said Doctor Daniel 
MILLS. And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and 
appoint the said Rev Thomas BROWNRIGG, Rev Edward BAYLY and 
Doctor Daniel Mills executors of this my said will hereby 
revoking and making void all former and other Wills: by me 
at any time hereafter just my hand and affixed my seal this 
seventeenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and ten. 
Thomas KING, LS Signed, sealed, published and declared in 
the presence of us who have hereunto named in presence of 
the Testator and of such other Bony, Daiby, Daniel, 
Laurence, J MILLS..

Whereas I Thomas King of KINGSTON, in the county of Wicklow 
Esquire. Did in and by my last will and testament bearing 
date the seventeenth day of March last past, leave and 
bequeath onto my dearly beloved wife Mary Anne King deceased 
my interest my interest in a dwelling house in King Street 
in the City of Dublin. Now I do hereby devise and bequeath 
my estate and interest in said house to my trustees in my 
said will named. In Trust to permit and suffer Jane HAUGHTON 
orwise ARCHER, wife of Doctor John HAUGHTON of Henrietta 
street in the city of London, her assigns to have and 
receive and take the rents issues and profits there of 
during the continuance of the lease under which same is held 
upon her sole separate receipt without  the control and 
dooling of her said husband not withstanding her convector I 
also leave bequeath unto Thomas King MANNING son of George 
MANNING of the meetings, Fifty pounds to be paid to his said 
father and applied by him in whatever manner he shall think 
to be most advantages to him and I do hereby in every other 
respect confirm my said will do decree that considered and 
taken as part thereof and annexed as a codicil thereto. In 
Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this 
fifth day of January one thousand eight hundred and eleven.

I hereby decree my executor to pay to Sibella SUTTON Twenty 
five pounds and shillings which together with fourteen 
guineas for which she has any written promise will make the 
sum of twenty pounds. January 21st 1811 Thomas KING, present 
Joseph MILLS, John MILLS of the city of Dublin Notary 
Publick make the oath and south forever and was intently 
acquainted with Thomas King late of Kingston, in the county 
of Wicklow esq.. Deceased and to be said of to be of his 
unsual character ...... and of handwriting and of having 
often sun his right and ........ and ............... having 
carefully proved ..... aforepreventing, thereunto announcing 
.............. to be a cordial to the last will and 
testament of said deceased beginning "whereas of Thomas KING 
" understanding this fifth day of January one thousand and 
eight hundred and eleven and substrate
