Abraham    April 6th, Ardreigh Road.
William DUNCAN, the dearly loved infant son of Joshua and Dorcas ABRAHAM, aged 4 weeks.  Forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Abraham    December 17, 1900 at her residence, 61, Innisfallen Parade, Dublin. Charlotte, the beloved wife of Joshua ABRAHAM and daughter of Robert WILSON. Ballintruer, aged 37 years.  Funeral took place from Dunlavin to Donaghmore on the 19th last.

Allen    August 1st 1876 Willie ALLEN died.

Anderson   (1897) May 14th at The Adelaide Hospital,  Ethel Louise, the dearly beloved daughter of Rev. D. ANDERSON, Rector of St. Auddens. Funeral from the Adelaide Hospital on Monday morning at 10 o’c for Mount Jerone.

Bailey  March 1st, 1895 at her residence Eadestown, Stratford-On-Slaney, County Wicklow.
Lizzie, the dearly loved and loving wife of James BAILEY, in her 64th year; very deeply grieved for, by her husband and children.  My presence shall go with Thee and I will give thee rest ex 33.14.

Dennis           October 9th at Forthgranite, Co. Wicklow. Meade CAULFIELD DENNIS, eldest son of the late Thomas STRATFORD DENNIS, of Fortgranite, Co. Wicklow aged 81 years.

Douglas         Jan 21 at Hill View, Meath Road, Bray, of congestion of the lungs. Anna Maria, the dearly beloved wife of Charles DOUGLAS, aged 62 years. Funeral    will leave for Powerscourt Churchyard at 11 o’clock on Monday the 24th.  Friends will kindly accept this invitation.

Douglas         July 16th at his father’s residence Hill View, Meath Road, Bray of hemorrhage of the lungs. Edward COOTE, dearly loved son of Charles DOUGLAS aged 22 years.  Funeral will leave for Powerscourt Churchyard on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Friends will accept this invitation.

Douglas         Dec. 2nd 1897 at 86 South Circular Road, Portobello, Charles DOUGLAS, late of Hill View, Bray in his 91st year. Funeral will leave for Powerscourt Old Churchyard at 9.30 this (Saturday) morning.

Death of Mr. C. J. Wilson.
June 18th 1921

We regret to record the death of Mr. Charles J. Wilson, which sad event took place suddenly at Elverstown, Ballymore-Eustace, on Saturday evening.  Deceased was at the time engaged in haymaking with his men in a field of new meadow.  Mr. Wilson was extremely popular, and the news of his death was learned with the greatest regret.  He was a keen sportsman and a lover of a good horse, and had the pleasure of seeing his colours carried successfully over Punchestown’s famous track. The funeral took place on Monday to the family burial ground at Hollywood.

Mr. James Lyle Stirling.

The death took plac eon Tuesday at his residence, Granite Lodge, Kingstown, of Mr. James LYLE STIRLING.  Mr. STIRLING had been at business on the previous day.  He was a very well-known figure in the business life of Dublin City and County.  Born in Tullamore.  he had come at an early age to Dublin, where he spent the most of his seventy years.  He was managing director of Messrs. STIRLING, COCKLE and ASHLEY, Ltd., of Eustace street, wine, spirit and tea merchants, and was associated with Messrs. Joshua WATSON and Co. and the Irish Press Agency, of both of which companies he was a director.  Mr. STIRLING’S wife died some years ago, but he is survived by two sons and three daughters.

£11,403––Mr. Wm. Jonathan BROWN, Woodlandss, Castledermott.  Bequests––Woodlandss Farm to his son, W. BROWN; Corballis Farm, Co. Kildare, to his son, Robt. BROWN; £1,000 to his daughter, Ivy Isabella BROWN; £1,000 to his sister, Phoebe BROWN; £50 each to Lena LAMBE and Margaret COPE, his niece. Isabella BRAITHWAITE, and his nephew, Samuel H. COPE.  £50 to St. James’s Church, Castledermott, for church purposes; the residue to his sons, William and Robert; his daughter, Ivy Isabella, and his sister, Phoebe, in equal shares.

OBITUARY.

Sir Kildare D. Borrowes.

Sir Kildare DIXON BORROWES, Bart., died on Sunday last at his residence, Orphines, Wateringbury, Kent.  He had entered on his 73rd year, having been born in the 21st September, 1852.  He succeeded to the title and estates of his father, the ninth baronet,  the baronetcy having been created in 1645.  He owned about 11,000 acres of land in Ireland, and resided at Barrettstown Castle, County Kildare, where his family for generations had lived, until he sold the property some years ago. He was educated at Cheltenham College, and he married Julia Aline, Daughter of the late William Holden, of Palace House, Lancashire, in 1886.  He joined the Army early in,life, and retired with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel from the 11th Hussars.  He was High Sheriff of the County Kildare in 1902.

      When the Great War broke out in 1914, he offered the Government his services, and he rendered valuable aid as embarkation officer for three years.  He was decorated with the Star, War and victory Medals.  He also served in the South Irish Horse, and was A.D.C. to the Duke of Marlborough when that nobleman was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, in 1879-80.

Sir Kildare DIXON BORROWES in his early days was a good cricketer and a reputable amateur boxer.  He is succeeded in the title by his brother, Eustace, his only son, Kildare, who was a midshipman on the battleship Queen Mary, having gone down with all hands at the Battle of Jutland.

Hopkins       June 3 1893 at Ballabitt, Tullow, Co. Carlow. Abraham, eldest son of William HOPKINS Esq.  Funeral at 11.30 tomorrow (Tuesday) to Mullinacuffe.

Hopkins       July 28th at Coollattin, the residence of her father. Agnes WILSON HOPKINS, the beloved wife of George Thomas HOPKINS of Cronelea.  Funeral tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11 o’clock.  Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.

Hopkins       On 10th June at 58, Renelagh Road. Mr. John HOPKINS aged 74 years.  Funeral will leave for Mount Jerome at 9 o’clock tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

Hopkins       April 13th at Ballabitt, Tullow, Count Carlow. Alicia, the beloved wife of William HOPKINS.  Funeral at 11.30 tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to Rathvilly.  No flowers by request.

Hopkins       May 1st 1894 at Ballibitt, Tullow, Co. Carlow. Jane, widow of the late Abraham HOPKINS, aged 83.  Funeral at 11.30 tomorrow (Thursday) to Mullinacuffe.

Hutchinson At Palermo, Bray on the 13th. The Lady Louisa SYNGE HUTCHINSON.

Hutchinson On the 25th ult. William PARRY HUTCHINSON, Rotherwood Street, Richmond, in his 77th year; a colonist since 1839.  Deeply regretted.

Irwin April 4 at Dunlavin, Francis IRWIN, C.E. only son of Samuel IRWIN aged 29 years.  Interment at Dunlavin on this day (Monday) at 3 o’clock.

Lawrenson February 15th at Stratnakelly, the residence of her uncle. Susan Ethel, infant daughter of Robert and Sarah LAWRENSON, Ballinakill, Co. Wicklow aged 11 months. He shall gather the lambs with his arms.

Lawrenson  November 19th at Ballykelly, Shillelagh. Elba Constance, eldest and much loved daughter of T.D. LAWRENSON, aged 15 ½ years.  Funeral 11 o’clock tomorrow (Wednesday) 22nd for Shillelagh. Washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

Lawrenson  December 26th at Cammer Vale, County Wexford, the residence of his uncle of effusion of the brain. Ralph elder and dearly beloved child of Robert and Sarah LAWRENSON aged 2 years and 3 months of Ballinakill, County Wicklow.  Suffer the little children to come unto me.

Lawrenson  November 19 at Ballykelly, County Wicklow. Samuel ALLEN, second and darling son of Thomas and Sarah LAWRENSON aged 2 years 4 months.  The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Little March 19 at Donoughmore, Stratford-On-Slaney. Eleanor Margaret, second and dearly loved daughter of the late James LITTLE, Donoughmore.

Lumley         Dec 14th at his residence, Tullamore, William LUMLEY in his 82nd years.  funeral will leave the Methodist Church for Clonminch Cemetry at 12 o’clock noon on Monday the 17th December, Service in the Church at 11.15.

Manning       January 23rd 1884 at her husband’s residence 6 Clifton St., Melbourne. Maggie, the dearly beloved wife of William MANNING, late of this city, deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband and friends. January 1884 at her residence 6 Clifton St., Melbourne. Maggie, eldest daughter of the late T.L. Stirling, Tullamore, deeply regretted.

Manning       On the 23rd ult. at Clifton Street, Richmond. Maggie, the dearly beloved wife of William MANNING aged 26.

McCullagh   May 6th after a short illness at his residence, Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Thomas, youngest son of the late John MC CULLAGH.

Plant November 21, 1889, at Ballyhubbock, near Baltinglass, after a short illness. James Albert PLANT, aged 45 years; sincerely regretted by the members of his family and a large circle of friends.  Interment today (Saturday) at 10.30 a.m. at the family burial place, Donoughmore.  Friends pleaes accept this invitation.

Richardson  December 10th 1900 at his residence. William RICHARDSON of Springfield House, Crumlin, County Dublin and Tara Street, aged 64 years.  Funeral on Thursday morning at 9.30 o’clock for Mount Jerome.

Rowell          August 6th 1879 at her father’s residence.  Ballylew, County Wicklow. Rachel, eldest and dearly beloved daughter of Edward ROWELL aged 40 years.

Salter            October 23 at Knocknegan House, Co.Carlow after a painful and lingering illness which she bore with Christian patience. Jane, the beloved wife of Peter SALTER, aged 68 years.

Shepherd     August 16th 1876 at his residence Golden Hill, Blessington.  Mr. Christopher SHEPHERD.

Seale On the 20th inst. at Avifield, Dundrum. Richard STOKER SEALE aged 31 years, funeral to Mount Jerome at half past 9 tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Semple          December 13 1893 at her residence Hill Terrace, Bandon.  Alice, the loving wife of John SEMPLE, and third daughter of James BAILEY, Stratford-On-Slaney, County Wicklow.  Deeply mourned.  Washed in the Blood of the Lamb. Funeral from Baltinglass for Donaghmore tomorrow (Saturday) morning 10.30.Oh why do your tears roll down,

Wynne           November 12th at Manger Farm, Stratford-on-Slaney, Emma second youngest daughter of Charles WYNNE.  Funeral will leave at 10 o’clock on tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
