Dublin, of the other part. In consideration of sum of
£113.15.0 sterling and annual rent, Hamilton leases to Sir
Charles the new brick dwelling house or tenement with
gateway adjoining, and coach house, stable and yard to the
rear. Also, dung yard lying behind Mrs Card's holding which
is adjacent. All enclosed by a lime and stone wall and
situated on the northern side of Summerhill. Lease to run
for term of 999 years at annual rent of £56.17.6.
Endorsement on verso states this it is agreed between the
parties that if Burton pays to Hamilton the sum of £300,
annual rent will be reduced to £35.17.6.

Instruction issued to the Sheriff of county Kilkenny by the
Court of King's Bench to put William Dowdall into possession
of certain lands. Lands to be recovered from John Thrustout
[pseudonym] and comprises 20 messuages, 20 cottages, 10
gardens, 5 orchards, 50 acres of arable land,30 acres of
meadow, 50 acres of pasture, 30 acres of wood and underwood,
50 acres of furze and heath, 50 acres of moor and marsh, all
in the lands of Knocknebodaly (Knockbodaly), county
Kilkenny, containing 92 acres and 2 roods. Leased on 27 May
1779 by Sir Charles Burton to Dowdall. Annotation signed by
Joseph Evans, sheriff, states that he put Dowdall into
possession of the lands on 28 December 1779.
