A Graiguecullen man currently serving with the U.S. Armed forces in war-torn South Vietnam.

He is Mr. Patrick (Dancer) Brennan formely of Graiguecullen footballer, who left for the U.S. Before enlistment in the U.S. army, he worked at Kings Park, Long Island. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kings_Park,_New_York  After service in Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he obtained a medal for being the best all-round soldier in the fort, he was presented with an inscribed cigarette case by his fellow soldiers. He was then transferred to Fort Lee, Virginia, where he received his first stripe after eight months service.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Brennan of 7 Sletty St, Graiguecullen, are the proud owners of a Quartermaster Diploma which their son received for a secretarial course.

He was drafted to Vietnam early in January.

Footnote from Maureen Egerton (nee Campion): - Patrick is the great grandson of James and Anne Brennan, grandson of Sarah and Edward Brennan, son of Christy Brennan, who is the brother of Annie Elizabeth Brennan, my mother Maureen Egerton (nee Campion). All this Brennan Family are from Carlow Town in Ireland.
