He had numbered nearly four score years. The two days previous to his death, there was born to one of his daughters his forty-sixth grandchild.

23 In an article found on the internet, Keith Raynor wrote of the experiences of the Riflemen of the 95th Regiment at the retreat to Corunna. Keith was described as “an experienced and thorough researcher in England and contributes articles regularly to magazines such as First Empire and the Age of Napoleon”.
